Help me pick out some overlays for rear and front badges

One word of caution: went through a carwash today, and the rear emblem was partially pulled up (well, down - the top came loose a bit). I was able to push it back on and it seems fine now. I may just not have had enough time to properly seat, or I may have to re-tape at some point. The other 5 (front, 4 wheels) were all fine.

May have to downgrade for 4.5/5. Overall, still very satisfied.

I could be wrong but it doesn't look like the wheel overlays match the Hood overlay. Two different designs ...
Hmm. I didn't even look that closely at them.. Looked similar enough for me :-)

This won't happen if they're installed properly. It's not something that tends to happen. People have a hard enough time removing them intentionally. It takes effort. If the vehicle went through a car wash and came out with a loose emblem, something was wrong before the car went in. While these may be a fairly new item for the Stinger, they've been around a long time for other Kia's. If this was a common problem, they'd have had a bad reputation by now.

Unless you didn't use the gasket that was included in the package of the rear piece. Then that would explain the problem.

In any event, a little clear silicone wherever the piece isn't sticking well enough will prevent it from being pulled up in the future...

What gasket? That piece of sticky cardboard with no instructions? I was suppose to use that?!?!? Sorry, maybe it's old hat for guys like you that do this all the time - this is the first time I'm doing it. There were zero instructions / diagrams included to indicate that I was supposed to use that..

I guess I'll have to downrate to a 4..

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

Yes. They're supposed to come with instructions but I have seen a few slip through without them. I'm sorry you seem to have taken what I said personally - but it is what it is. Installed with the gaskets that were included in the package of the rear piece, it won't come loose.

When it comes loose again, let me know and I'll send you a new piece. If you need another gasket, I'll include one as well...

Thanks Sal. I didn't really take it personally, more like - how was I supposed to know? I just thought they were guard pieces included to keep the overlays from getting crushed or something.. I threw them all away (for the rear and the 4 wheel caps). The only instructions I found were for the "adhesion improvement" (something like that) swab for the steering wheel overlay, which I used. I reasoned that if that was the only non-overlay piece with instructions, then that was the only thing meant to be used other than the overlays.

I appreciate your offer of a replacement. I will keep an eye on things. I do have some 3M mounting tape (a little thicker than what was included) and I may see if that is enough to remedy the situation first.

I totally understand since the instructions were missing. To be honest, a lot of people don't use them - even with the instructions included. It's not always absolutely necessary - but a good idea. With a little luck, they'll hold on just fine. Worst case scenario, you just let me know. :)
