Hello everyone! I'm from Bucharest, Romania, and after 2 Opels and 2 VWs I decided to switch to KIA. Not such a popular brand here but ever since I saw a Stinger for the first time 6 months ago it stuck with me.
I'm currently driving a VW Passat Sportline and, hopefully, starting next Saturday, a Stinger 2.0 RDW GT-Line. Currently waiting for the dealership to do all paperwork and in the meantime I'm familiarising myself with the car online.
Here are a couple of pictures of the car I took in the showroom. I decided to take the one on display since it was exactly the colour and trim I wanted. And the delivery time for a custom one was 6 months.
Looking forward to sharing experiences with you guys.
Best!

Nice selfie! ;) That is a very popular color. What do they call it over there? Here, it's Ceramic Silver (but a lot of people refuse the "silver" part and call it Grey).

Thanks! The selfie was unintentional actually. I was absorbed by the car :).
The colour is called the same, Ceramic Silver. There is also a Silky Silver option which maybe looks more like the traditional Grey.
I was very close to choose the Chroma Red because it had the Red interior, which I like a bit better, but after some careful thinking I decided it would be just too flashy for me.

Welcome. A good looking car. Nice choice.
I'm curious, have you seen other Stingers in Romania? I have not been to Bucharest - would like to get there sometime, but our company has a business center in Cluj. I was there a couple of years ago. I enjoyed it. Interesting place, Transylvania.

@GRStinger I haven't really seen any and the guy at the dealer told me they've only sold 7 so far. So it's quite exclusive I guess :). I also spend a lot of my time in Vienna, Austria and haven't seen any there as well. It will be hard for Kia in Europe. All of my friends think I'm crazy not to get the Giulia or Arteon.
If you're ever in Bucharest let me know. I'll give you the tour. It's just a 40 min flight from Cluj :)

As much as I love my Stinger, it's certainly a large vehicle to be driving daily on the small roads found in most towns and cities across Europe. I can understand the lack of popularity.

@eflyguy Yes, you definitely have a point there. However, a lot of people do commute in Europe over long distances and leave the car in Park&Ride type places. I almost never use the car in Bucharest or Vienna. Metro is much much faster. But I do travel a lot in the region for my job and that's where a bigger car really comes in handy :)

Now that is a life I would enjoy.. :)

I might just take you up on that! Enjoy your ride!

Now there's a first Romania how interesting. Very good command of English to, welcome.

Welcome enjoy the pages here.

What spec and trim have ordered?

Thank you all for the warm welcome!
I've chosen the 2.0 GT Line + Extras Package PK0015 (LED Headlights, HK Speakers, NAPPA, All-round View, BSD and Wireless Charging) + Sunroof + Spare Wheel. It pretty much comes with everything on it. The only additional extra options were the interior colours Red and Grey. What I would have liked was a heated windscreen. I'm not sure you can get it elsewhere but I have it on my other car and it's a blessing.
Also, you can't add the Adaptive Suspension and Adaptive Steering to the GT Line. Only come on the GT. And I'm not sure about the Limited Slip Diff. The dealer strangely didn't know anything about this. The GT comes only AWD and the GT Line comes only RDW. I'm guessing it doesn't have it.
The diesel version is much more customisable unfortunately. Still, in my opinion you really can't beat the german offers if you want diesel.

"The dealer strangely didn't know anything about this.quote."

You're not alone in thinking the dealers know little about their product. One thing you can benefit from is all the information to be gathered in this forum. Try the " Find " button to search key words.
- You've changed your nationality to Austrian? Lol.

Apparently it changed by itself after making the previous post. Probably because I just landed in Vienna. Now heading to Albania so maybe tonight I will have a new one again :))

Later edit: Now that I replied from my phone (connected with my Ro simcard) I became Romanian once more :). The previous was from my laptop connected to the airport wifi.

Sadly we can't order adaptive Suspension (don't really know what you mean by steering but probaby the same ;)) on the 2.0 in europe. But you should have an LSD, I'm 99% sure - I got one.
You're right on the Diesel BUT only 200hp so I didn't even bother looking at it . As far as I know evey combination is possible - AWD/RWD, Colors, trim Level (idk).

I believe that all RWD have LSD. It's the nature of the beast.

Well, thank you for the good news :). I just ordered the winter tires and now waiting for the confirmation on the 18" rims. If all will be ready at the dealership on Friday I'll be able to pick up the car on Saturday morning. Very excited!!

PS: Now I have the Albanian flag. Very funny that it keeps changing based on the last location I logged in from :)
