Hello from Europe!

Lots of things on this car many people wish could be set as default but unfortunately Kia decided we wouldn't need it.. :)
Oh sorry I was thing about the wrong thing.

Auto hold just feels weird to me. I’m afraid that I’d take my foot off the break out of habit and rear ended someone.

There is that possibility: you forget once that auto hold is OFF, let go of the brake, and coast out into traffic and get T-boned. But, a lot of other possibilities involving features of the car could equally cause potential dangers. If you are not consistent in the use of the car that's where the forgetfulness can cause problems.

I use auto hold all the time. It is my preferred way to accelerate from a stand still: it's either auto hold or launch control; and I don't care to use/abuse my tranny with launch control very often: yet I do enjoy stepping on the go pedal vigorously quite often, so auto hold facilitates that.

@7Andrei7 no extras here for me on pick up, just full tank of petrol, however they sat in my car for an hour and gave me a tutorial on the car and set it up to my liking which was great. Still no mats or toys though.

We don't have that stop/go feature down here thank god. I love the auto hold its the first thing i press when i get in the car, you will get used to doing that.

@Ozstung Yes, pretty much everything used to come standard in english over here. Now you can opt for romanian but I guess I’m used to english.
And no, the dealers never fills them up. They give you all sorts of stuff but not gas. Strange :)
And about that, did you all get a mini Stinger with yours?

The car is amazing! I drove it already for 550km today. Basically the whole day :). The feeling is great and the interior is a bliss. I love the lights inside and all the gadgets.
One thing annoys me: I need to turn on the auto-hold after each restart of the car. Do you know how to make it stayon forever?
Some more pics:
Can you post a photo of the Auto- Hold button? Maybe it’s an easy fix.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Thanks for the photo.

Try this test. Hold the button down before starting the car, then keep holding it down and start the car, keeping holding it for another 30 seconds.

Does auto hold turn on? Does something weird happen?

Try this a couple times and let us know what happens. If it turns on, then you are in luck and we can go from there!

Actually I just realized that I have the button also. But....it doesn’t turn on when holding it down while starting the car

Maybe Kia listens to us and enables it? Or perhaps it's a safety thing to always have to manually activate it so you are aware of it and the car does not creep away while you're not looking.
I've used a number of auto-hold functions on VW, BMW and Alfa and all act differently. The VW one is always on. When you've stopped your car to 0 it engages. And even if you were not at a complete stop and the car starts to move slowly forward/backward the auto-hold detects this and applies the breaks. This works on manual transmissions.
PS: I'm now Turkish :)

Romania,Albania,Austria, Turkey? Be careful if you move into Poland you might start WW3 .

No, no, we are all friends now, all in Nato and most of us in the EU :)
However, I'm now in Georgia for a few days and the proximity to Russia is giving me the chills
