I know I'm going to get absolutely trashed over this by the majority of ( conservative ) members of this forum but there might be just one person who this helps.
It helped me....

So, no matter what position I have my drivers seat in, I've always felt that the head rest was a bit intrusive ( far forward ).
I either had to sit with my head slightly forward all the time or it would keep contacting.
I've tried every adjustment available and none move the headrest back far enough for my liking so, here's what I found out.

You can lean the drivers seat back, slide the head rest out and then reinstall it backwards !

Makes for a LOT more headroom and it's not so out of the way that it's redundant.
It's actually really comfortable on longer drives.
Also handy if you are wearing a helmet during a track day etc.

Odd, I find mine even in the most forward position to be too far from my head.

Wouldn't make any difference in my car since I have a headrest cover on the drivers side.
I have a shaved head and sometimes the stubble is pretty course and I was concerned about trashing the leather so.....

Hmnn.. My head gets shaved every other day. Never thought about trashing the leather.

I assume you know that the headrest itelf can be moved forward / backwards, you pull it forwards one click at a time and the last one frees the ratchet and it goes all the way to the back - there's either 2 or 3 positions, well thats what mine in the UK does, I have mine at the most forward position as that is my preference.

Interesting, I didn't think about shaved head stubble messing up the leather either. Now you gave me something else to worry about!

I'm pretty sure that the headrest is not leather.

I did know that and have tried it in every position but I always felt like my head was leaning forward to avoid bumping up against the headrest so.....
See how in this picture how the angles even look like your head is being pushed forward.

As strange as it seems, I really prefer it backwards

We did that in our '15 Optima due to the forward leaning of the headrests. Haven't had that issue in the Stinger though.

i have some coworkers that have reversed their headrests in every single car they own charger, pathfinder, palisade, To me i think the position is perfect. Also, for whiplash safety, but I get it, seats/ergonomics are hard to design for every body.

I suppose I'm a slumper. My wife is always telling me to stand up straight. The headrest as-is doesn't even touch my skull. I have to deliberately sit up straighter to get my gourd to touch the headrest. Hah.

Maybe the OP has a long back of the head area!

LOL!! exactly what I was thinking.

That creature looks familiar? Isn't that the mayor of chicago?

Well, all I can say as a wrap up is try it, you might like it.
And if you don't it's the easiest mod to un-do I can think of :D

Edit: And I promise to try to find something more main stream to post about next :)
