Has anyone tried this CAI

The Charge pipes are installed now and I'll be heading to the Dynojet Thursday September 22nd. So far from driving around town and doing some 3rd gear pulls, the boost delivery feels smoother. I'm wondering if I'll see any increase from my last dyno run when I was still on the factory airbox with AEM dry filters.

I'd been waiting for this update! Looking forward to your results. Mine don't come in until mid October, haha

While my results will be different than a bone stock Stinger GT, it'll be nice to see how close I get to the advertised+25 hp, +22ft lbs. Also the kickdown switch blocker I installed a couple of days ago should help at the dyno. It took the operator a few practice runs to get used to the kickdown switch.

I'll be doing some before and after testing with the dragy. With these tests I plan to do a run on 93 then an E30ish mix.

Do you have a graph from the same dyno before you added the intakes?

What gear are you able do the pulls in with the kickdown blocker? I've been using three because they can't get fourth gear to hold at the higher rpm.

Yes, here is the dyno chart from May 2022. All the pulls were done at 4th gear I think (trying to remember). I'll see on Thursday how well the blocker helps.

Update, I had to reschedule with the shop for next Thursday.

I had a very interesting day at the Dyno. We only did one run because the electric parking brake actuator on the driver side got caught on a strap and broke the sensor. Everything still works fine excluding the parking brake. (and auto hold but I never use it)

I know the guys at the Racing shop so they told me the session is on the house and they ordered the OEM part though Kia. They'll install it free of charge once it comes in. I told them it's no big deal since shit happens sometimes.

My result was 475 wheel horsepower and 448 ft-lbs. Getting a good read on the Stinger is hard because the car will auto upshift, even on the Sport drive mode with manual mode engaged. I don't park on any steep inclines so the car will be good until the part comes in early next week.

I have the same issue in fourth gear on the dyno...shifting up. That's why I've left all my pulls in third.

Looks like you gained quite a bit of power and marginal loss of torque. Not bad! I had the same thing happen when I switched from the Stillen to the Injen intake.

Great results! Sorry they broke your car, but I'm glad they fixed the situation AND gave you the free 99 discount.

Congrats! Looks like it was worth it.

You made 475RWHP on a racechip? damn... even with supporting mods thats more than expected. Good Job.

How much did these intake add? whp. Seems like a pretty big jump. *confused*

I remember a old thread on this forum. I was researching on the Racechip and a UK owner got 490 something WHP. Every Dyno is different though so I'll eventually have to try a different one.

I've added both the aFe intakes and the aFe charge pipes. The 31 WHP increase was on the same Dyno that I got the 444 on previously. Ultimately, I'll have to test on a different Dyno because every Dyno is calibrated differently.

Well you also have to remember that North America uses a different version of HP than the EU does, for example, 475NAWHP is the equivalent of 482EUWHP.

Thanks, never knew that.

Unless you revert back to your previous intake setup, roll on the other dyno, re-install the aFe gear and roll again, it will be pointless to go to another dyno.
Mostly wanted to see how different my numbers are this other shop close to me. Idk if their dyno is a Dynojet or Mustang Dyno.
