Has anyone seen any Stingers in the wild?

i dont like the lowered and cambered look or whatever its called where the wheels look like they will fall off. odd choice of wheel color, black wheels would look better on that car. it just looks riced out. i dont like the 2 tone look, when people put carbon fiber hoods and its a different color than the body. looks cheap.
How does it look cheap? Cause a lot of us spent a chunk o change to look cheap.

And im pretty sure the ride you disapprove of is bagged. You cant turn when the wheels are buried in the well like that.

hey, its just my opinion. im not the first on the forum that hasnt liked the look of something. plus what my opinion doesnt matter. i was just saying what looks good and doesnt to my personal preference. i apologize if i hurt some feelings. was not my intention. it was the picture of the car lowered with silver rims and black hood.

Didn't hurt my feelings at all. Your opinion is yours and thats full respect. It actually was a legit question how does it make it look cheap? Pure curiosity. There are lots of builds that i see that are not my speed. So definitely dont sweat it. Im not sitting here angry typing by any means. You and I have talked before its all good

so i guess what i meant was...so i work in design and marketing, i see lots of different forms of art, vehicles, buildings, graphic design, wraps, list goes on and on.. and when i saw that picture or i see cars like that it doesnt hit my taste buds right. thats all i meant. i just thought it made that stinger look worse. i think its cool you guys have money and the drive and love of the stinger to do different stuff to it. most ive seen i love what you guys have done.

edit:
and honestly, in my own taste, id love to wrap my stinger and put some new wheels on it and a couple other things some of you guys have done, but current circumstances dont allow.

@n8hegr8
Hey I drive a panda so i know its not for everybody. Plus my ski box, oh the grief i get Hahahaha! And lets not forget its a 2.slo

To answer your question from a different person's perspective, I think carbon hoods can appear "cheap" because so often we're accustomed to seeing them on inexpensive cars where it's actually just a normal hood with a carbon fiber pattern stuck onto it, faking the appearance of actual carbon fiber. The same applies to all sorts of interior/exterior pieces that want to trick us into believing their car needs a carbon fiber cupholder for maximum weight savings like a Pagani Zonda. Actual carbon fiber is amazing as a material, and the look is... fine I suppose, depending on implementation. On something like a Stinger I'd give them the benefit of the doubt and assume it's actual carbon fiber, but not everybody might like the look. As for bags to make it look like your suspension broke every time you park it, I'd say it looks silly but certainly not cheap.

So i'm thinking of doing something i did back in 1992

Thoughts ?

IMHO, that is VERY '90s, almost '80s. Ask yourself that if you bought the same car today (Barretta? Corsica?) would you put the same stripes on?

IMO id say no. For me its a time period thing as well.

That said why not break out photoshop first? The vision in your head may not transfer to real life like you would hope. Its happened to all of us im sure. I know in my case it has.

At the end of the day its your build, if someone else doesn't like it thats their issue. You always have to respect someone's vision even if one doesn't like it.

Never liked those kinda stripes on a car, be it in the 80s, 90s or now, I think it makes whatever car it's on look tacky.

I had the chance to buy an indigo blue special edition car. I liked everything about that car minus 2 things. The wheels (easy change) and the God awful pinstripes running along the side. The car was brand new and somebody thought it'd be a good idea to put that on the car. The dealership said it was an "added bonus" so they would not be removing them. Needless to say, I walked out and never came back.

With all that said, if you like it, that's all that matters!

Ok, so I guess I'm the only idiot who thought he was considering drifting his new Stinger but was not completely sure about it.
I'd say go ahead with the drifting but certainly leave it nice and clean

Saturday my wife and I were up visiting my bro in the Seattle area. Saw 2 on WA-18 near Auburn:

White 22+ vintage. Was too far ahead of me.

Ceramic 22+ vintage. Dude passed us. Gave him a thumbs up.

Was literally right next to a clean ceramic silver on the freeway this morning. Was next to him for awhile, guy didn't even bother to look over or anything, which is very strange for a Stinger owner. Not once has this happened to me. Even an old lady in a premium gave me a smile. I guess he was too in the zone?

no stingers in utah ever wave or whatever to me, dont feel bad. K5 people do, however.

a minority of utah stinger drivers 'signal' recognition to me, but there are some. latest was last fall, flicked their brights at me. mostly they have tinted windows and you can't see the driver anyway.
