Has anyone seen any Stingers in the wild?

Saw a Federation Orange Stinger at the corner of Algonquin Rd in and Rt 25 in Algonquin IL. Love the black roof wrap. Sorry for the poor quality picture, my passenger tried their best while I was turning.

"Poor quality pic", what are you talking about? :D

Know what's weird? I've seen almost as many Lamborghini Uri in downtown Philadelphia as I have Stingers. Three Uri, four Stingers. A yellow Urus was parked in our neighborhood Tuesday night.

And I see at least one Maserati almost every day, but I suspect that's due to a huge nearby dealer offering decent lease rates.

Still, I've seen three of the four Stingers this summer, so it looks like the rate is increasing.
Realize the car only has 3 years worth of sales on the road as time goes by there will be more and more to be seen.

Saw Kato today driving down Route 130 in Hamilton, NJ. Also saw a brand new black with temporary Maryland tags pulling out just as I pulled into Cracker Barrel also in Hamilton.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Came across this Micro Blue with rear Stinger Script & Black wheels on my way over to my daughters place just now.

Attracted a new "friend" this afternoon at North Rocks. We had a 10min chat.

10:15am Hichroma Red heading south on Mann Street Gosford. Was a couple of cars ahead so I couldn’t get a good pic.

1:00pm this Hichroma Red heading south on the Pacific Hwy Wyoming, 2 minutes later caught up to an Aurora Black heading north on the Pacific Hwy Wyoming which I think had just come from the Brian Hilton Kia dealership. Followed each other on and off to the Pacific Motorway Ourimbah where I eventually lost him once we merged into traffic (he didn’t try to keep up). The dashcam pic was taken on the Pacific Hwy Ourimbah. We pulled up next to each other shortly after and exchanged waves. Sounded like he had the bimodal fitted. Looked a lot cleaner than mine currently does too. It’s been a while since she had a wash.B58C6BB5-91D8-4F2E-9515-0DACCF567E92.webp

I did tons of research on Stingers prior to getting mine. With the exception of the dealership, I have only seen one and I live in a city of 1.8 million -- my son pointed it out to me, because I kept talking about it.

Leaves the question: Why so few Stingers when they are such a highly acclaimed vehicles with strong reliability track records, strong performance sedans, and have a practical element to them?

Because brand snobbery. Plain and simple.

Point taken.

If it is brand snobbery, it makes me proud that I drive a Stinger. I also really liked the Chevy SS made in Holden, Australia that got discontinued, though.

I've talked to multiple people who "couldn't believe" that I bought a $50k Kia. They just don't understand the value proposition that it offers. All my friends who actually know anything about cars are super stoked for me though :)

I guess that is the difference between car enthusiasts and people with discretionary money. Car enthusiasts appreciate what the Stinger offers; discretionary money folks want a vehicle that says "I made it."

Coast GT,

Nice sighting. Orange was my first choice. But, none at the dealerships where I was looking.

Drove from the DC area to just north of Atlanta Georgia and only 1 Stinger sighting, on the back of a car carrier with a bunch of mixed cars.

Speaking of which, anyone in Georgia near Bethlehem? Would love to do a little meet up! <3

It's some of that, but also being a niche fastback bodystyle.

Stinger sold about as well as the 4 Series GC last year and is selling about as well as the A5 Sportback this year.

That’s the difference between car guys/gals and people who don't know much about cars other than badges.

The latter think rather highly of the Lexus ES (or at least more so than for the Stinger).

But enthusiasts think the opposite and see the ES as being nothing but a tarted-up up Avalon.

Kinda like the masses who think highly of Bose or Beats (due to marketing), but to audiophiles, they're pretty much garbage.

There are those who know what they're talking about and then there is the un or misinformed masses.

It's like how the masses still think of Acura as a reliable brand when Acura hasn't been particularly reliable for the past decade.

Jabras for me on the ear phones. :)

ES350 is 1K more than the Avalon. And, it is because of the wood in the interior. Toyotas/Lexus are great cars, but they do not have a real personality. Depends on your taste. If you want a Point A to B car, no better than Toyota/Lexus.

But, as I have observed in this forum, car enthusiasts need to get from Point A to B, but they want a fun experience along the way. They want to take the car just to drive and smile while doing it. And, there is practicality and reliability with the Stinger that does not exist with many performance cars. I know Stingers are compared to others, but I cannot find a comparison. The Stinger is intriguing.
