Boy it sure looks better in states where front plates aren't required.

Except that in Utah front plates are required. Cops aren't allowed to pull you over for a missing front plate as a first offense. But they can tack on "no front plate" if they are feeling peevish.

A black one passed me this morning on my way to work at Wetherill Park & a White one followed me out from work in the same location on Tuesday afternoon.
Pulled up at the lights on Pacific Hwy Ourimbah behind a white GT on the way to work Monday afternoon. Managed to get alongside of him shortly after, no wave, not even so much as a look in my direction lol. Just some old bloke in business attire. He didn’t look too impressed in my rear view mirror when I pulled in front of him and then lost him at the next set of lights. Seen a few others while driving around in the work car.

I guess not everyone’s into the car the same way we are here on this forum.

Yeah guess not, but it certainly sparks interest in people. I rang NRMA yesterday to buy some insurance unrelated to the Stinger. When I got asked all the usual ID questions the guy mentioned my other policies and says “I see you’ve got a 2018 Kia Stinger, that’s my dream car what’s it like?” So the next 5 minutes are spent talking about the car before going on to what I actually called them for. I’ve been stopped by strangers at the shops a couple of times and they comment on it but that’s a first being asked about it without them even seeing it

Yep, I’ve had similar experiences.

Being noticed is even better than a sighting in the wild. Last week I was getting my grocery bags out of the trunk to go into the supermarket. I saw a car driving rather quickly across two empty parking lanes toward the empty slots to the right of my car, and I cursed their unsafe driving under my breath. As it pulled near, I heard the woman in the passenger seat say, "It's a Kia." I couldn't hear what the woman driving said, but then the passenger said, "NO, it's a KIA!" as they turned left around my car into the lane and bombed out of the parking lot.

In Western Australia no one seems to care to ask about car unless I’m at cars and coffee meet.

Yes because it’s not a 4x4....lol

Am i onto something here : orginal badges- no wave. Changed badges- wave ?? Tried to keep up with a white stinger at Narellan but he appeared to lane change to get away im sure he saw the purple one.

I reckon we should get forum rear stickers liked someone suggested many moons ago . I think that was your idea AV8R?

I have had a similar experience here in Victoria so far, only had two guys ask about my Stinger in 7 months.

I've had an almost inverse experience: hardly any sightings of Stingers in the wild, but more queries than I can recall. Just yesterday evening, while @Gordo and I were taking pics of our two cars, a guy drove into the park (to fetch his kids, I think), and through his open window asked us the usual questions, and made a couple of admiring comments.
