Has anyone seen any Stingers in the wild?

Yay for Merlin! We didn't have to take a Stinger convoy to you so you could see some! :)

I saw a Yellow stinger leaving the Eagles game on Pattison AVE in Philadelphia PA last night around 1am. I was driving people in a sprinter high top van and had to pay attention to the road, it was Jammed. I noticed the Quad tips... Do the 4 banngers have Quad tips

They do. The easiest visual differences are the GT badge, the lack of black chrome on mirrors/brake vents and the different wheel styles.

Well, I got my first sighting. A gorgeous black, all clean and spiffy, with a very cool looking guy driving with eyes straight ahead the whole time. My wife and I were coming home after an afternoon of hiking in Big Cottonwood canyon. At the mouth of the canyon, she said, "I want to drive your car." I pulled over without any hesitation and got in the passenger side back seat. She drove without flap and enjoyed herself accelerating a couple of times. On Redwood Road as we were going up the hill by Memorial Estates the black beast passed us on the right. "Stinger!" I shouted and scrambled for my cell phone. I thought I got four pics but only two took. Better than nothing. We followed him and he turned toward our neighborhood. As we came to the street we normally take, my wife pulled up alongside of him and put the window down and gave a little honk and held her thumb up out the window. He kept his eyes straight ahead, which disappointed my wife. "Didn't he react at all?" He might have angled his head a bit in annoyance. :D So! Karma. Until I consented to let my wife take a turn in my car, all resident or visiting Stingers have eluded me. The first time I let her drive any real distance, bingo! there one is, and I am positioned to document it. Too fun(ny).

He's a local guy, and his plate seemed to be a ham radio operator number. I should have got it down, but when I thought about it he was gone.
He's @Gordo and we just "met" over on the Who else has had warped rotors? thread. That's pretty danged cool, sort of like a reward for my patience, heheh. :P

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Came out of an appointment in East Whittier this morning to find mine flirting across the aisle with a shiny black GT, who unfortunately had his back turned on her, snubbing her.

Stingers are becoming more common around here, but mine still got attention from three guys in three different parking lots when I took her out one day earlier this week. The difference is that now they don't say "What is that?" but "Is that the new Kia?!"

Sorry about that MerlinintheMad. Tell your wife I appreciated the thumbs up. Makes all of that handwashing multiple times per week worth it. I gave her a wave back but it was after you had passed. I looked over on redwood road as she pulled up probably right after you snapped that pick but then she laughed so I wasn’t sure what was going on ha ha. Yours was looking great too. I’m sure we’ll see each other around town sometime soon. I’m just In Daybreak probably fairly close to you.

And the grey one is owned by an Eskimo judging by the amount of sun shielding going on in there.
Love that sun shielding though. I just ordered a set from weathertech myself and waiting for them to come. Nice to see how well they fit on an actual stinger though. Hoping to keep the red leather looking good for a long time.

So, Merlin, despite your meagre sightings, you've become famous now!
I forgot that post. :D A legend in my own mind, am I. ;)

Indeed you are close. Three miles. We went to eat our dinners outside your house this evening, on the off chance that you'd drive in. Your neighbors pointed out which house is yours, after observing, "Hey, your car is one like *****'s." So, my wife put a note with our phone #s on it. Look under the flowerpot next to your front door. :D Her idea (being the most gregarious soul on the planet) was to get our cars and the two of us in a picture. And, this inspiration came to her because she wanted to get out of the house; because the house was hot; because I disconnected the swamp cooler; because we are getting central air soon and the worst heat is over. But it was still too hot for her, and so I played along and we went. So! Sometime soon, we should hold our own "Stinger owner's meet". And get that picture.

Your wife is a little gregarious although sounds like something I might do is well. ;-) I didn’t see this post until today but my father that’s visiting saw the note and pointed it out to me. Yes, that’s a great idea to get together for a picture. My wife and I would love to meet you. She likes to make fun of me about how obsessive I am about taking care of the car. I sent you a text earlier and hopefully to the right phone number.

Nope. One is our home phone. The other is my wife's cell. Try that one. She didn't give out my cell phone because she knows that I don't use it except to pair with the car, "in case". (I only got it because I was advised that people who carry should always also carry a cell phone. Grrr! I gave in after resisting for years on years: I have a flip Tracfone, which, of course is stone age tech for texting.)

Sightings are coming closer together now. My nine year-old grandson (a Stinger fan if there ever is one) spotted what I believe is a pantera metal colored one as we exited the Pizza Pie Cafe in Bountiful Utah this evening. If I want to see more Stingers in the wild, I need to go around with Brayden. Apparently I don't see so well! Heh! :D:p His dad took the pics.

I chatted with the owner and his father for maybe five minutes. They live in Kaysville. The owner knows about the Stinger Forum but has not, as of this evening, ever logged on. He got his information and contacts for rebadging here. He has the pseudo "Lexus" "K" on the front and the large Stinger script over the rear licence plate.

Son and I drove 45 mins to Manly Beach for dinner, and when we finished and were headed back I almost went to the wrong car. An identical white Stinger was parked just a few metres up from my own.

On Sunday when I was exiting from a Windsor car park, a blue Stinger was headed out as well right in front of me. Whilst admiring the car, I realised I was headed the wrong way when I found myself following it in a trance-like state lol.

Just saw a black 2.0 RWD in Rockville, MD. From the stock in local dealers it seemed like aside from me they were having trouble getting rid of the RWD units, so it's nice to see someone else with one.

#6 for me in the wild. Pulling out of the gas station when they pulled in. Nice couple, Ted and Diane with a beautiful brand new Blue GT2 AWD with white leather. Classy look. Still had the dealer placards. I had to snap a pic of our booty’s together. Still need to meet up for our pic @MerlintheMad

Is that the 7-11 on 40th West just south of 10200 South? Because if it is, I was parked last Friday evening in that same end spot the Blue is in. :) (right after our aborted attempt to meet you)
