Has anyone removed shark fin antenna?? does anybody know how??

I would have posted here for others, but file size is too large. Didn't feel like converting it. Feel free to do so if you have time.

@Angel or @KLR STINGER I'm planning on wrapping my roof and was wondering if either of you still had access to the KIA Tech Info PDF that was mentioned here. If possible I would love to have a copy of it.

Hello all! I've been following this all this time as I'm also interested in vinyl wrapping the roof. I plan to try it on my own to save on labor cost.

May I also have a copy of the pdf?

I attempted to remove the headliner this weekend and failed after breaking the retaining clips. Even after removing the two clips I wasn't able to pull the headliner down far enough to remove the antenna without removing several other interior trim pieces so I decided to hold off on the wrap for now. I just didn't want to do any major damage to the headliner so I was probably being a bit overly cautious. I even went as far as buying the two extra water drainage trim pieces that go on the sides of the roof behind the sunroof and painted them black. I've got everything I need to do it, but will probably take it somewhere now to actually have the antenna removed..

this looks like a great idea... I need to stop coming on here, I'm too easily lead

How do the inserts/drain rails on each side of the panel between the sunroof and hatch pop out? Not afraid to go poke around, but just wondering if anyone has the info...

If you use a small panel removal tool on the end closest to the rear of the car and just kind of pry upwards you should be able to release the first clip, once you have that loose, there are two more to release. 3 clips total.

You have to pull the back of the headliner down by popping the clips, then there is 2 antenna connections to remove. After that there is a single 19mm bolt and it will then be able to be removed from above.

Is it possible to get that PDF sent to me. I am wrapping the roof and want it under the antenna. My son had it cut out without removal on his Passat and it is peeling. This cant happen on my Stinger. info@modsec.com...
Thanks
