Wrap around it don’t be messing with removing it.I was hoping some has done it or if somebody got there roof wrapped know of someone that did and can share some knowledge... I don’t want to be a test mule lol shit usually does not play well
Do you have any pics of the clips or any more valuble information before i tackle this, thanks. I also taught just paying the dealer ....You have to pull the back of the headliner down by popping the clips, then there is 2 antenna connections to remove. After that there is a single 19mm bolt and it will then be able to be removed from above.
Awesome, i agree i am not doing the wrap myself i am taking to a place but they asked about me romoving the antenna to save some money and they dont want to mess around with the antenna and wrapping around is not a choice he says in order to be a good job the antenna needs to be removed
There some local shop here in the Chicago area that would do it but they charge an arm and a leg if they have to deal with the antenna. If I can remove the antenna myself I can save about an hour of labor which is like 150 so i can get my roof wrapped for 150 instead of 300 dollars. I am just trying to save money I also wrap myself I wrapped my Lexus ISFIf the place you are taking it to doesn’t want to remove the antenna, I would go somewhere else. Any reputable shop that deals in car wraps has done a 1000 shark fin removals as well as removed much more difficult parts.
Awesome man.....Did you know a 10 minute job for a Canadian is a 1 hour job for an American? Hahaha LOL .. thank you very much for your information I will take a look at this this weekend. But if you or anyone else has pictures or any more information that would be great for future people trying to do the same. It's literally a 10 minute job to pop the headliner down a bit and remove the antenna since we have a hatch. Fold the seats down. Remove the 2 plastic push pins in the headliner nearest the hatch in the middle. Use a panel popper tool to release left and right Sail panels at the top nearest the headliner. Use same panel popper to pop the the headliner clips at the back. Pull the headliner down to have access to the antenna harness. It will be tight, but Unclip the connectors. Use 19mm deep socket to remove nut, then pull antenna off. That's is.
Not true, my antenna was not removed and it looks good.Awesome, i agree i am not doing the wrap myself i am taking to a place but they asked about me romoving the antenna to save some money and they dont want to mess around with the antenna and wrapping around is not a choice he says in order to be a good job the antenna needs to be removed
