Has anyone had the turbo oil feed pipe replaced under recall?

Wow, you guys are lucky. Mine has been sitting at dealer for 3 weeks as of today. Dropped it off afternoon of 08/15 was on vacation the next week, great idea I thought. I needed the recall performed and I have a small leak in the rear main seal area. They had to do an oil change and add dye. I just had the oil changed so I am guessing they will want pay for that. Also there is a sharp brake check jolt when slowing to a stop it is terrible in sport mode.
So they drove the car sent data to KIA the trans is ok so they just reprogrammed TCU. They then had to wait for the recall part. KIA should really have front-loaded these parts to dealers. This was the second week and this week the part was supposed to be in wed. There was no leak found initially and was told I may have to pickup and drive it for a couple of weeks and come back for eval; They eventually found leak evidence so that was kicked to KIA for warranty. They told me it would be ready this Saturday 8/31 earliest and Tuesday latest but don't hold them to it... So my car has been sitting in a lot for 3 weeks getting molested by nature when I have babied, hand washed and kept in a carport. So I can just see a flock of birds flying over and etching the living crap out of it. So maybe this will make yall feel better. 22 GT2 with 22k miles... Not buying a Hyundai/KIA again. No proactive contact from the service dept. The tech did call and text me but I don't have beef with him he is a nice guy. He seems to know what is up and tunes stingers on the side. I also knew going into this purchase that the Stinger IS a KIA. So I am not really surprised. Why did nI not go pick it up? A. It is 45 min away B. they always gave updates that kept things in limbo. I may appeal KIA for a car payment. Oh, and my damned brakes never got fixed from 5000mi. KIA offered a good faith replacement but the dealer closer to me dragged their feet about parts and never called so I just paid out of pocket to have them replaced with 3rd party parts. That is how I ended up at this dealer. Anyway, yeah this sucks and I feel we are gonna hit a big fat month on this. Later!

What did they find?
Oh, they didn't tell me crap. The tech told me it almost is never the RMS but a plate that covers it. The latest call with service; I really just asked if the part was in and reminded them that it has been there for 3 weeks. I will give more details if I ever get my car back.

Excellently crafted pity party saga of woe. I for one appreciate it. I was about halfway into it when I stopped asking myself, "why doesn't he just keep his car until the recall can be done?" Hindsight and all. I'd have likely suffered as you are because of the way this has spun out. But dang, get her back under that carport! Etching, hopefully that won't be a realization. But if it is, it will be clear coat only and that can polish out. The takeaway for me is, don't schedule multiple things at once, or else "they" will have your ride for a long time, out in the elements. Amen.

I noticed something similar and was wondering if something got reset in the computer when they did the coolant bleed, or if they idled it a long time to test stuff and that messed with the calculations.
Did the fuel mileage go back to normal and stay there? I’m noticing same thing since I got this done yesterday

Yep, everything was fine after driving a while. I think it might have reset the next time I got gas. Only issue I has was the coolant was a little low after I drove home and let the engine cool down, I think they had trouble burping it so I added more coolant and also checked my oil to be safe and it has been fine since.

It turns out they crank the heat to hi i guess when they change coolant and if left there it messes up the fuel consumption

just had mine done ... aside from coolant all over the engine bay and fingerprints all over my windshield from applying inspection sticker (had state inspection done at same time), they appeared to do a good job.

as a bonus gift, when i was putting my intakes back on afterwards and dropped a socket, i also found a Snap-On screwdriver laying in the belly pan. LOL

Did you find any of my missing 10mm sockets in there?:)

Be happy you have a warranty from KIA? Not really. But, the local dealer here contacted us for the recall and

the Canadian arm of Kia made it happen for us in the states. No warranty from a Canadian KIA to the USA

so that's awesome (not sure that is a good idea for KIA). Time will tell this car has 16k on it and we love it

and will do the maintenance as we have with our other cars. My better half smoked a BMW today from a

stop light so she loves this car.

Are you saying that they dropped the screwdriver doing the recall?

well, *I* don't have any Snap-On tools, and they were doing a lot of work in the engine bay for the recall, so ...

it could have been from previous dealer ... was bought CPO ... but it was pretty low miles, so i kinda doubt they needed a little screwdriver for an oil or air filter change

Yeah you're right. I figured it was just one of the "features" blocked because of adblockers. Disabled mine and I'm getting the same issue.

If so, how did it go? Any issues with dealership providing shoddy work as it relates to this recall? Thanks for sharing
Had issues w my local dealership the entire way, this recall was the worst thing to ever happen to my car. It took them over a month to complete it, so my car sat for weeks bc they forgot to order parts AND forgot to schedule a “master mechanic” who only specializes in this bs. When i got the car back coolant was low for about a week and half and i filled about half a container of coolant before it finally settled to full. They didnt fill my washer fluid, not exactly sure why it was drained but they also forgot to connect the tube the dispenses wash fluid so for a few weeks i wasnt sure what the prob was. If you have aftermarket intakes they have to come off, but my local dumbasses didnt secure a clamp and it was producing escaped air. I think that issue and my lack of awareness made the car run funky for a few weeks so after an oil change and tightening my clamps the car runs better. Absolutely nightmarish experience, honestly considered doing it myself but theres a specific part that goes to the coolant and apparently its “vehicle specific”

i'm going to edit my post ...

noticed after a couple days that one of the caps was missing from the base of one of the wiper arms. ordered and replaced for $9-ish ... not worth my time or gas driving to dealer, even if they offered to replace it for free.

also, two deep chips on the driver side fender (edge of hood) again, not worth pursuing ... i have a couple other paint chips i need to fix and i'll just fix those at the same time.
