is the audio better ? That was the biggest impact of doing mineDid mine with QuietCoat. Under rear seat and hatch. Spring will look to do doors and side of hatch.
Hard to say. I find the car is pretty darn good at limiting vibration via audio. I played my radio pretty darn high the other day and I’m pretty impressed how little movement I see in the mirrors or vibration in the doors. I did the hatch and seat cause they were easiest for now and I work for the company who makes QuietCoat. Acoustics is highly technical and takes a minimum of 3 Db difference before the human ear can detect a difference. Typically for audio the biggest difference comes from doing the doors due to the speaker location and the thin flexible sheet metal that makes up the door and creates the heavy vibrations.is the audio better ? I would say I got deeper base and more resonance ( actually thats what my 19yr old son told me )................I think the words were , thats sick !Hard to say. The accepted threshold for the difference in volume that the human ear can perceive is 1dBA. 3dBA represents a doubling of AMPLITUDE/POWER, which is not the same as the doubling perceived volume. A doubling of perceived volume requires a 10dBA difference. A healthy human ear can detect a 1dBA change in audio volume.Acoustics is highly technical and takes a minimum of 3 Db difference before the human ear can detect a difference. This is true, However 3dBA is the industry accepted level to hear any real difference. The accepted threshold for the difference in volume that the human ear can perceive is 1dBA. 3dBA represents a doubling of AMPLITUDE/POWER, which is not the same as the doubling perceived volume.
