H&R RWD specific lowering springs

see post #1

leveled is wrong, OP and others have rake. positive rake angle is when the front end is lower than the rear end not level. The -2 are not supposed to be level that is why i’m confused your front springs are stamped -2 but your car looks level.[/QUOT
Mine is not leveled (I have a picture somewhere in this thread), but it is a little hard to see in pictures if you're just looking at the wheel gap. When you look at the body, it's obviously lower in front. In fact, my rear is noticeably higher and fronts are lower than when I had the eibachs.

30mm/30mm F/R for AWD, and 30mm20mm F/R drop for the RWD kit is going around on the internet and even posted by some resellers but the documentation that comes with the springs says 30mm all the way around for both kits. AWD spring kit comes with 14 mm diameter front coils, RWD drive comes with 13.5mm front coils. Both sets come with the same 14.25mm rear coils. Overall effect should be "Lowering of the body up to about ca. 30 mm by using different springs"

so if the rear coils are the same for both kits - why is the rear axle drop different?

AWD cars weigh more than RWD cars, so the springs compress a little more under that extra weight.

The RWD specific set (30mm/20mm) is categorized as part#28701-2 BUT are supposed to include the same rear springs (20mm) as the AWD #28701-1 set. The front springs should have the #28701-2 stamped on them. The rear springs (20mm) should have the #28701-1 stamped on them - see post #147

So, when you buy the #28701-2 RWD specific springs you should receive:
- a box that says #28701-2
- two front springs stamped #28701-2
- two rear springs stamped #28701-1 (20mm)

Did I get the wrong springs? I got 28650-1 and 28701-1 and the sticker on the box says 28701-2.

H&r Lowering Springs for KIA STINGER 2wd Type CK 30/30mm 28701-2 | eBay is what I bought.

I did a search for 28650-1 and found this:
Part No.: 28650-1
BMW X3 M, Type F34XM
incl. M Competition, only with adaptive damping
from year 2019 on
Lowering: front 30 mm / rear 25 mm

Since the lowering for the 28701-2 (F) (30mm) matches the 28650-1 (F) (30mm) then I might be ok?

Did you sort this out?

To make it clear this appears to be a packing mistake by H&R since the box had the wrong springs inside. I won't hold the seller responsible for that issue but the rest was a problem.
Ordered on 12/09, received on 12/26.
I sent a message on 12/26 to the cartuningpoint seller with pictures showing I got the wrong springs and on 12/27 they said:
"Do you have the option to return the item? We will be happy to supply you with the right springs and take over the return postage. We ask for a short info."
On 12/27 I replied with:
"Yes, I can repackage the springs and tape the box to ship it back if you can provide a return shipping label. Is there any way to ship me the right springs as soon as possible? I don't want to wait a month for the wrong springs to be shipped back and then another month for the replacement springs to be sent."
After I sent that message I heard nothing from cartuningpoint. I messaged two more times on 12/30 and 01/06 with no reply. I contacted eBay asking for help and after a day they refunded my money and I don't know what I am supposed to do with these other springs.
On 01/07 I ordered the same springs and they came in today 01/18 with the correct springs in the box so now I have to schedule the install.

Cool! Did you buy it from the same ebay seller? Thinking of changing my Eibach to this one.

Yeah, same guy. Since it wasn't really his fault I got the wrong spring in the box I decided to order again. Glad I got the right one this time!

Can you post some pics? I think the bumpstops should be cut. How long before you received it? Will replace my Eibachs with this one and sell it. Ordered this on 1/27.

Ordered last Thursday and they arrived next Wednesday. Was expecting to wait another week for them but looks like I will be installing today or tomorrow.

Are you guys talking about the H&R 28701-1 (R) and 28701-2 (F) springs and bump stops? If so, do I need to mention this to my installer? He just picked up the car to install them so I need to let him know about this. I haven't heard of this in the entire thread until now.

I think it's need to be cut! My bumpstops were cut to for the Eibachs Spring.

Had these installed on my 18 RWD and it really is the right look and ride for me.
