GT2 owners; has anyone driven your car yet

I believe Tiburon in Spanish is Shark .................... I keep hearing my surf instuctor telling me why I shouldnt fall in the water

How is it different? I know it's shift-by-wire, but doesn't it basically function the same way from the user's perspective?

Not a huge difference, it's just the flicking forward for reverse that you have to get used to and pay attention to. That and the park button.

I can see a first timer thinking they're in reverse but actually in drive, or pushing the selector forward and thinking they're in park but actually in neutral or reverse.

Interesting. I assumed they would simply make the layout mimic that of a traditional cable shifter. After all, the order could be anything since it's all digital.

It would have been nice to know about the shifter before I took my test drive. My huband got out and I went to get out the car wanted to go back. I thought it was in park. Good thing I am not a trusting soul or I may have ran over both of us.
