Yeah, Cali, we picked up on your "buyer's remorse", back there a ways, I think.

OK , if this makes you feel better ..............................Should we start comparing the GT's to pretty much everything now? Next up...GT's vs GT-R?
Necessary to market that way. Sales would be impossible without putting speed limits on the OEM machine for mass appeal. You can't go with less expensive without putting limits on performance (top speed). Kia isn't creating a McLaren competitor, seriously.Unfortunate that Kia de-tuned our Stingers so much.

Just get the limiter taken off, if you want to ditch your warranty as well.![]()

Why is that? I don't see why Kia would say, "Yay us, look at that 4.7 to 60!" You are the first commentator I've come across to say that Kia deliberately kept the acceleration down.I was merely expressing the fact that our Stingers could've come from the factory with much more power, and it's a shame they didn't.
Oh, MTM, let's not regurgitate the foolishness that one's warranty is automatically voided by altering the cars performance.
Also, speed isn't the issue here, quickness is...
Thanks to my tune, I am both quicker and faster than this Tesla.

I've taken two Teslas already and run 3.99 0-60 on my OBD2 Torque Pro. Dyno puts my whp over 430, factor in 15% drive train loss, that's over 500hp at the crank before my SSR downpipes....
Track is closed for the season, but my new Dragy arrived today.
Your dyno results showed you making 384 whp, not 430. You picked up about 50-60hp from your tune. I doubt an extra 55hp will shed nearly a second off Kias advertised AWD 0-60 time. If that were the case I should be under 3.5 seconds...and I'm not. We all know those OBDII apps aren't accurate. Let's see what your Dragy says. (for what it's worth Pressertech's development Stinger ran 4.4 0-60 post tune)
This is your dyno sheet, right?

I had a run in with a Tesla last night. I'm not sure what model it was, but he approached me on the highway, slowing down behind me. We were doing about 110KM (68MPH). In sport mode I punch the gas and accelerated all the way up to 180km (112MPH) before letting off. The Tesla was on my bumper the entire time, and showed no signs of slowing down. Sure, I had tons left, but my guess is, the Tesla was just playing with me. Sure, top speed goes to the Stinger, but the Tesla has the goods all the way up to its top speed.A Model S quarter mile ET is impressive, but the trap speed is another story. Anyone would be crazy to race a Tesla from a standstill, but pull up to one at 70 mph on the interstate and you will likely beat them to 100+. AMHIK... Also, I'm not this crazy, but a Tesla tops out at 140-150, Stinger goes higher.

The Tesla I was up against was clearly a Model S, but not sure which flavour? At any rate, it was a fun run to 180.It really depends on the model and any potential mods. Teslas are not all created equal, you won't beat a p100d in any form but you would smoke a model 3 all day.
I think they raced the 75d against the Stinger because they're trying to show which fast cars an electric can beat, I would take it as a compliment toward the Stinger.

Car and Driver got 0-60 in 3.9 in a Model S 100D. They got 0-60 in 4.4 in a Stinger GT. The 100D is $97,000. You can have the Tesla and the 1/2 second. I'll take the two GT's, thank you very much.
It’s actually under 2.5 secs 0-60 with ludicrous plus. That pretty much beats ANY production car 0-60 and will challenge pretty much every production car to the 1/4 mile....that’s why it cost more.Car and Driver got 0-60 in 3.9 in a Model S 100D.
