GT vs Coyote Mustang ........................

But, ever since this thread started, I've wanted to know what possessed Ford's concept people to give a model two animal names. It looks daft to me. Why not call the Road Runner the "Coyote Road Runner"? Or how about a "Cougar Jaguar"; "Thunderbird Spider"?
Nothing makes you feel more like a man than a Thundercougarfalconbird.

Mustang's you never know. So much aftermarket support for those cars. The coyote engine is a great engine. If I didn't need an AWD car the Stang would def be on my short list.

Also the 2020 Corvette is looking like it is going to be an absolute monster.

I love it when guys just speak outta their arse.
I collect cars. Hellcats, Camaro ZL1, Corvette Z06, Shelbys. Currently looking at the new 2019 GTs Stinger to add to my collection. Yah the Orange beast! I love it.

But... I am the proud owner of 5 mustangs. Two Shelby 350s, a 2014 Shelby 500 (662hp from the factory live axle) and two mustang GTs. I bought a GREEN 2019 Mustang GT auto trans w/10 speed with the GT performance pack that comes with the (importantly), Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2s tires. This is the car that wipes the Stinger's behind. The 10spd Auto in TRACK mode has instantaneous shifts without torque loss and the 10 spd keeps the pony from ever getting out of the powerband. Take off the AntiLock on this pony and it will do (at sea level) under a 4.0 sec 0-60. You cannot compare a novice 1/4 miler driver behind a manual transmission vs Automatic and think this is a valid comparison. The manual mustang is a .5 sec slower car. (even slower 2017 and older) Apples to apples and being true to FORD's internal testing, this STOCK GT with these two options is 1/2 sec quicker than the STINGER GT1-2-S. If you are seeing stock STINGER's beating 2018+ Mustang GTs, you are NOT seeing the GT performance pack with the 10 spd Auto. And BTW.... here is a little dirty secret that FORD doesn't want you to know... The Mustang GT dressed up this way, is FASTER than the Shelby 350 and 350R 0-60 and 1/4 mile. But as a sidebar, the GT350 Shelby is an oval track driving fantasy machine. Money cannot buy a better track car.
So soon, with my new purchase of my STINGER GTs - I will submit the Track tickets on here, and truly compare Mustang GT performance pack with STINGER GTs for apples to apples.

Better off just quoting the person you're referring to when it comes to someone "speaking out of their arse". I think just about everyone in the thread knows he's missed a shift in the OP's video. Curious to see your track numbers but I don't think many guys on this forum think they're driving around A10 coyote killers in stock form. Welcome to the forum.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

Well.... when you are racing at 5,800 ft above sea level at Bandimere speedway in CO, my track numbers won't really mean anything for people that have not raced at that altitude. They will be off substantially. But apples to apples

How does your car do up at Bandimere ? Im there most Friday nights and Wednesdays during the summer/fall and there is a huge spectrum of 5.0 performance. My good friend takes his 2015 California Special almost stock 5.0 out there and it runs very high 13's 13.8s and 13.9s or 14s on hot nights. which is what the stinger did stock at this altitude on hot nights. My other other buddy has a 2013 5.0 6spd auto with a tune intake, exhaust and some slicks and will hit 12.9s on hot nights. My Stinger only gets to those times with the BMS burnout switch and the JB4 set to map 2. Then of coarse there is tons of 2013 5.0s with all sorts of mods out here doing 10's 11s 12s 13's etc.

I'm not a big green fan but that is a fantastic color @Mark Halbert. Beautiful car.

I have 4 of them. 2 Shelby 350s and 2 GTs(all stock) The 2019 with auto 10 spd and GT performance pack totally stock did 13.42 best time. June night about 75 degrees. My 2015 GT 6 spd best I ever did there was 14.24. Shelby's will run a 13.65 or slightly better but again to my point, FORDS dirty secret that the GT auto is faster than their Shelby GT350 comes into play for 15k less.

I Got my new orange GTs Stinger the other day. Disappointed that it doesn't have the lap/track options available on the LED instrument cluster. And The DRIFT mode..... there is no indicator it is even in DRIFT although one quick turn on the corner and you can tell you have no FWD assist. Still trying to figure out launch control. Not even sure it has it either. The funny thing is, the documentation from KIA in a supplemental pamphlet, even shows that the GTs has the menu system for 1/4 mile time , g force etc, braking etc, but absolutely no way to access those options on the small LED instrument screen. WHY?
One starts to wonder who they have working in marketing? Even the GTs specific supplemental pamphlet shows that the GTs has those options, but you really don't. Somebody dropped the ball.

I can't address "dropping the ball" on the apparent inclusion of track mode instruments in the pamphlet.

But I did know before the GTS even came out that it was based on the GT and not the GT1; thus the lack of track options on the instrument cluster. Launch control positively comes on all US Stingers; even the 2.0L has launch control. Once you engage launch control you are in "drift mode". This means that all power is transferred to the rear wheels: you've already used "drift mode" successfully if you noticed no FWD; you must have engaged launch control successfully. It's just a matter of turning off TSC and being in Sport mode. "Up to 100% power to the rear wheels" occurs when you demand it.
