Hey y'all. Yesterday morning my Stinger started with the "Forward safety system disabled. Radar blocked" message recurring in totally clear conditions. Virtually no clouds in the sky, 80°F, no obvious obstructions in/on the front of the vehicle. Pretty clean around that area of the front bumper cover.
Started giving me this issue in the AM yesterday, figured it was some freak occurrence due to the angle of the very bright sun, but it continued happening and happened about 4 or 5 times within 20 minutes of driving in various conditions (under tree cover, in the sun, in traffic, no traffic, etc.) in the afternoon. Had it happen again once today so far, same excellent weather conditions, but I expect it will happen again.
Anybody else experienced this?
Probably going to remove the front bumper cover to see if there is anything going on in there. I did recently install the BMS intercooler which involves installing the brackets in the area of the radar hardware, maybe that has something to do with it? I'll report back on that.
Thanks for any input.
Edit: Also wanted to mention that I've noticed the collision warning popping up recently where it is mostly or entirely unwarranted, like driving down a road at about 20 miles an hour where there are no other vehicles or objects in front of me.
