Foam cannon

how are you drying if you aren't using towels? The foam cannon is going to leave water spots if you don't dry it, it's only purpose is to reduce potential paint damage when washing the car, it definitely adds time to the whole process.

Driving in Mexico of course!!!!

I was also using the Adams pH balanced soap. Looking into a de-ionizer in a few months. But yes, leaf blower - and 90mph is NOT enough.

The idea is that by covering the car in foam and letting it sit you're loosing up the dirt and grime so that you cause less damage when you put your wash mitt against the car and start rubbing. Some people spary foam the car, let it sit for 5mins, rinse, spray foam it a second time and then use the 2 bucket wash method. That's probably the safest way to wash your car but you need to be a bit of a detail nut to do that.
Yah that's how I wash my cars... Using foam cannon is great!

Spent about $100 on a good water filter. Ceramic coating, plus foam cannon plus water filter = a very clean stinger!

Guys I would guess the foam cannon is duplicating the foamy brush at the local self serve......I dunno what chemical they want you to use in the cannon....but what you want in the foamy is lubricity..its to lift up the road film so you can actually brush ...wait don't go nutz on me...use a hogs hair brush like I provided in my carwashes...wont scratch...you can order the hogs hair and its handle from kleen rite online
the brushes is bout 55 bills the handle is maybe 15....you will need a 3/8 inch hex nipple thats bout 2 inches long to attach to handle...you will see all the stuff in their website....hell you can even order the real foamy brush concentrate....80 to 1 was a good ratio on my equipment..... besides the actual dirt and crap what you also have is road film that is actually bonded to your car...and you by foaming and gently using the hogs hair brush release the film...everyone has seen the wash me finger painted signs on dirty cars...thats road film next to the paint....you can stand there with 2000 psi of pressure and it wont budge...statically bonded to the paint because the car is rolling down the road on rubber tires...the micro dirt clings just like a balloon that you rub to make a static charge and it clings to you.....but with the lubrication of the true foamy brush chemical and a nice soft hogs hair brush...and you being grounded to the earth it will release and lift with the foamy....kleen Rite online is the place to buy your goodies....you wont pay much more than wholesale either from them...any questions on what to buy ...pm me :) Wash
if you don't wanna buy that 5 gal pail of foamy which is a 5 year supply prolly....lol go get you the cheapest hair shampoo...like mane and tail at the grocery store.....whats in it you ask? the same chemical that is in every shampoo and car foamy brush.....sodium laurite sulfate or any one of that chemical family...look at all the hair shampoos....same chemical in variants sodium____ sulfate....its a foamer.....so if its good for your hair its good for your paint....I ran out of foamy brush in my first endeavor back in the stone age on a Saturday morning OMG.....so I went to the grocery store and bought shampoo....worked like a charm !

Optimum No Rinse works well for those that have hard water. Otherwise, you end up with (hard) water spots when you don't get to drying quickly enough.

I’ll try it... black sucks!

does this enable you to completely skip the drying step and not have water spots?
I have a dedicated line from my soft water loop to a bib by the garage for car washing only. Using the soft water and a quality foam cannon, and leaf blower, no towel drying and limited to no spots. Also the soft water increases the foam quality and quantity. I will usually hit the car with a quick detail nonetheless to shine it up.

FWIW...the $15-20 Amazon Cannons work just fine. However, there is no comparison to the MTM Professional one using a 1.1 orifice and gas pressure washer. MTM can be had for $70-90 depending on a little searching.

i would agree it wont save time if you rarely wash the car. however, in AZ, we get lots of dust so using a spray, foam, spray, dry each week allows the car to stay nice and clean without contam building up. No salt here so i cant speak to that.
