First week without the Stinger

Well, it's been a little over the week since I turned over the Stinger and it sucks. If you're on the fence about getting rid of it and you're not getting into something similar, don't do it. My new truck is nice but I'm shocked at the execution of some things by a massive company like Honda, it's just not on par the features of the Stinger despite being the top trim. I knew I was losing the power and handling and all of that, I didn't think I'd be as bummed about some other things.

Things I miss/am unhappy about:
Cooled seats
HUD
Far superior radar cruise control, the cruise control in the Honda doesn't hold you at your speed, and it constantly does little jabs at the brakes when you're behind someone, it's infuriating.
The charging pad in this truck is completely useless, doesn't work at all.
Infotainment system isn't very good and for whatever reason the AA wireless dongle struggles to connect to it.
The controls in a Honda are just not very intuitive, I couldn't figure out how to turn on the cruise control for the first day, for some reason you push a button marked "Main" to turn it on???
Idk how, but this truck has less leg room than the Stinger did for the driver, I'm not a super tall guy and I can't get comfortable. The seats are not very comfortable either compared to the Stinger.
Power adjustable steering wheel.
Honda has a tilting mirror feature when you reverse, but for some unknown stupid reason you can only choose one mirror at a time to tilt, it's incredibly dumb.
Power folding mirrors.
Stereo sucks, Honda is the only manufacturer I've seen that doesn't offer a name brand audio system in their higher trim models. I had more speakers in the front of my Stinger than in the entire truck.
The blind spot monitoring system is actually a few inches forward of the mirror instead of built in like basically every other manufacturer. It's almost completely useless because when I go to look at my mirror, I look at, ya know, my mirror instead of a few inches in front of it.

Forgive the rant. There are things I like about the truck but this isn't a Ridgeline forum and I felt like complaining. I also realize that there's about a $10k gulf in price difference between my Stinger when it was brand new and this truck, but like I said even the features it does have that the Stinger had are just poorly done.

TL;DR

I'm sad.
If that last line in your initial post isn't a call for sympathy, then what is it. You sold your Stinger. Time to move on.

I honestly don't get this idea that it was a call for sympathy, is that something you would do is that why you guys keep saying that? Projection? I don't need sympathy from random Canadians on a car forum, I already said why I posted it if you can't comprehend that then there's not much I can do.

And thanks I'm already a member of the Ridgeline forum but I'll stick around here as long as I like.

"I'm Sad" = Call for sympathy

Just having fun with your lose. Seriously, I don't feel sorry for your lose. Vehicles come and go. Enjoy the truck.

I honestly don't see anything wrong with P22Tylers post. This is a "Stinger"community and he expressed how much he loved and missed his car. Nothing wrong with that. Shit I'd be upset too. It's a great car...lots of things to miss. He shared his story with a community that has always been welcoming and understanding...at least in my experiences compared to other forums. Sucks that he sold it but hopefully he'll get back into a Stinger in the near future. Keep us posted Tyler!

Don't see anything wrong with his post either, just called him out for something he continues to deny. Guess he was a little butt hurt when cncBilly posted his comment and then with mine :lol

That "Im sad" can be applied in other ways. More so nonchalant. Seriously, its a stinger forum, hes expressing how great the car is Incase others are debating on selling for an suv or such. If anything it helps out future buyers. Youre taking it too literal.

Maybe I'm just too damn old, but the old adage comes to mind, that if you can't say something nice, then don't say something at all.

Maybe I should go troll through the exterior discussions and tell people how stupid the carbon fiber looks.

You called me out for something that simply isn't true, so I corrected you. Seriously, I don't know you, why do you think I'm so concerned about your opinion that I would lie to you? I really don't get why you're so unwilling to accept that I don't need, nor want your sympathy but you're clearly settled on that one.

Butthurt? If you want to call it that. I didn't appreciate someone being a dick for no reason when I was still bummed about losing my car, especially when you don't know what you guys are talking about. So yeah it stuck in my craw a little bit more than usual. There was no need for either of you to respond to my post, but you both did so just to be jerks, why? Honestly, what was the need? I just shared my feelings on my experience, again, because I saw so many people considering selling theirs because of the market. If your only reason for considering selling it is because you can make a few bucks, I think you'll regret it so I shared my personal experience.

Like Buzzrush said, that's what this forum is supposed to be about, discussing the car and sharing experiences, so I don't get why it triggered you guys so much.

Either way, I'm really over this argument. I don't know why you guys feel the need to go out of your way to act like that but it's a forum, and all are welcome to react how they please. As others have said this is one of the better car forums I've ever been a part of, but there are always a few exceptions.

This was my number one question, why did you feel the need to do this?

I wrote a TL: DR (Too Long: Didn't Read for anyone who doesn't know)and just thought it would be funny to post a quick "I'm sad" but they took it so seriously and made it such a big part of the whole thing. I honestly didn't think it would start such a silly argument but I guess I should have just looked the other way, so that's my fault.

Appreciate it. This is a great forum that I've enjoyed my time on. I'll keep posting when I can contribute to the conversation and I definitely hope to rejoin by getting a Stinger someday.

I'm going to miss knowing that there is a Stinger in that garage. Hope you get to buy another one soon (if you don't decide on something else you want as much or more).
