First week without the Stinger

Agreed. I was able to keep up with a GT350. That’s 526 HP. He pulled away slowly, but the Stinger put up a damn good fight.
That wouldn't be unheard of to say the least.
Hasn't anyone taken a stock GT Stinger to a dyno?? Must be plenty of YouTube stuff out there.
I did see a thread with a dyno sheet posting for a supposedly stock GT that said 352 whp/383 on the torque.

Now I'm curious so I'll do some more research.

I've seen some stock Dyno charts.. but can't really compare between different dynos .. what I've been reading though is that it isn't as much underrated as just how long and broad the power band is, peak maybe not the highest or whatever but the usable range of lots of power is very large. Lots of the cars people race with that has noticable higher power but doesn't whip the stinger because we have access to the power longer it seems .

Well, it's been a little over the week since I turned over the Stinger and it sucks. If you're on the fence about getting rid of it and you're not getting into something similar, don't do it. My new truck is nice but I'm shocked at the execution of some things by a massive company like Honda, it's just not on par the features of the Stinger despite being the top trim. I knew I was losing the power and handling and all of that, I didn't think I'd be as bummed about some other things.

Things I miss/am unhappy about:
Cooled seats
HUD
Far superior radar cruise control, the cruise control in the Honda doesn't hold you at your speed, and it constantly does little jabs at the brakes when you're behind someone, it's infuriating.
The charging pad in this truck is completely useless, doesn't work at all.
Infotainment system isn't very good and for whatever reason the AA wireless dongle struggles to connect to it.
The controls in a Honda are just not very intuitive, I couldn't figure out how to turn on the cruise control for the first day, for some reason you push a button marked "Main" to turn it on???
Idk how, but this truck has less leg room than the Stinger did for the driver, I'm not a super tall guy and I can't get comfortable. The seats are not very comfortable either compared to the Stinger.
Power adjustable steering wheel.
Honda has a tilting mirror feature when you reverse, but for some unknown stupid reason you can only choose one mirror at a time to tilt, it's incredibly dumb.
Power folding mirrors.
Stereo sucks, Honda is the only manufacturer I've seen that doesn't offer a name brand audio system in their higher trim models. I had more speakers in the front of my Stinger than in the entire truck.
The blind spot monitoring system is actually a few inches forward of the mirror instead of built in like basically every other manufacturer. It's almost completely useless because when I go to look at my mirror, I look at, ya know, my mirror instead of a few inches in front of it.

Forgive the rant. There are things I like about the truck but this isn't a Ridgeline forum and I felt like complaining. I also realize that there's about a $10k gulf in price difference between my Stinger when it was brand new and this truck, but like I said even the features it does have that the Stinger had are just poorly done.

TL;DR

I'm sad.
Self inflicted issue. Zero sympathy here. Your bed, you made it. BooHoo:cry:

Gosh that hurts. I don't know how, but somehow some way, I'll have to move forward without your sympathy.

Oh and one more thing, I got rid of the Stinger because we needed to save money. I lost my job so decided it was time to finish my education and my wife was in law school. She was willing to keep losing out because she knows how much I loved the car but I knew that was stupid and it had to be done. But glad you took the time to be a dick about it anyways.

I'm still really bummed over having to do it so I appreciate everyone that wasn't a jerk about it. The main reason I decided to post this was because I'd seen other people on the fence about selling theirs in this market and wanted to share my experience.

Better financial decision that will pay dividends once you and your wife complete your studies and enter your fields. Then you can buy whatever car you want.

Exactly, there will be another Stinger. But it stinks for now.

Maybe you should have led with that and you wouldn't have gotten the response that dug deep.

Why? It's really none of your business why I did it. I didn't ask for sympathy anywhere in my post I just shared my thoughts and feelings on it which is one of the reasons I thought someone posted on a forum such as this.

Best luck with your family, education and future careers. These are more important than the particular modes of transportation. Being young, don’t set aside greener options…thought they have yet to prove themselves just like ‘greener pastures.’

Thank you. I've been working ever since I graduated from high school because I could never settle on what I wanted to go to school for and after seeing so many people regret their choices I'm glad I waited. I wish the circumstances that led to me finally committing to it had been different haha, but I'm glad to finally be doing it. My Stinger was a sad casualty of the situation, but I'll get back to one eventually.

By the amount of blubbering you’re doing it looks like sympathy was all you were looking for. Grow up.

I can relate.

Sad day... My bike leaving... Covered 15+ states during our time together... Wound up in FL, then stolen a year later.

Unfortunately I got something with 4 wheels. Actually, I got a kia optima at first. That car turned out to be a complete piece of shit and turned me off from kia/hyundai for the next decade. Got rid of the optima within 2 or 3 months and ordered a g37S 6mt. You can say that was the true replacement.
