Sound is okay but definitely much quieter than when i had the original tips installed for some reason. I had horrible drone because of the muffler deletes with the original tips but with these new tips the drone is significantly better and not as intrusive in the cabin.

Even without tips the drone shouldn't be "unreal". Have you checked that everything is tight and not touching the chasis or diffuser? If you're getting really bad drone in the cabin it could be vibration from improper installation.
Anyone who plans to run their aftermarket exhaust with the secondary cat deletes (midpipes) i highly recommend going with the oval exhaust tips rather than the round ones. I recently swapped round for oval and all of the rasp I was getting on cold starts is now completely gone.
I think the lack of secondaries causes more shake in the exhaust and if you have the round tips installed that are tight in the diffuser, this creates vibration as the tips shake inside the diffuser which creates a raspy metallic sound. Some get it at certain RPM's, others at cold start (me).
I'm completely happy with my MBRP + SSR Midpipe setup now.

I think these are pretty solid, giving you the choice of matte or glossy. I'm sure there are other variations and colors available but as per SKStinger, "63 mm x 75 high x 105 wide" should be the dimensions.
Hello.
Sorry, I won't share the link because I never received my exhaust tips.
The seller sent me a message a few days ago trying to get me to change my order to some awful exhaust tips and then took down their ad for the carbon fiber tips. I'm trying to get my money back currently.
I bought a set of exhaust tips previously from Alibaba and when they came, they were different form the pics in the ad.
This is the kind of BS that you have to deal with using Alibaba or DHGate.
Good luck if you try to buy from these places.

Not strange at all.
par for the course when dealing with Chinese businesses.
Not trying to paint them all with the same brush, but buyer beware.
One thing I want to emphasize is that you cannot rely on pictures and descriptions as people "borrow" a lot of these and don't seem to really care about accuracy. IT is not their own product, but they are re-sellers.
Valid point. I guess I lucked out with the vendor's i chose. How has AliExpress been at handling the dispute from the order where you didn't receive what was pictured?

I bought from DH Gate.
So far I started a dispute and the seller asked me to change the reason to "no longer needed" which I did even though I don't agree with.
I am waiting on the seller's response to agree to the refund which they said they would do.
I will update when I have more info.

Just got the info, that all post traffic towards China and back is significantly disturbed, caused by the corona virus. The chinese custom or customs in other coutries wont let pass by the packages.
here in germany its totaly impossible to send or receive packes from china. The german posts office refuse any package towards china, same in china. My neighbor works for the german customs office at a big airport.
He said there are huge mountains of packages at the airports, packages from china. They wont be delivered or processed in any way til another order comes in.
The fact that the corona virus will live for about 10 to 14 days on any surface wont help either. China just collect atm all money out of the market and replaced them with new printed notes and coins.
The chinese and other countries dont want to spread the virus via postage it seems. Maybe its no good idea to order items from china atm. Just a thought.
Finally, my tips are here. Gonna see if I can install them myself without removing the exhaust. It's the MBRP so it actually barely reaches the end of the factory tips attached to the bumper. Hopefully I'll have enough room to disconnect and slide them out.
Unfortunately, the way the factory tips are mounted, it's impossible to remove them without dropping the aftermarket exhaust. I believe someone mentioned they removed the bumper instead but that might be even more work. I ended up taking the tips to the shop that installed the exhaust to begin with. The installed them at no charge as they had previously promised. I did end up taking the car to a muffler shop about a month later to weld the rear pipes in place since the tips were rubbing against the bumper. Charged me $20. No issues since.
Just finished reading through the entire thread after having My brand new Borla installed on Monday at a muffler shop. Mechanic mentioned the exhaust was off kilter so he ended up adding a coupe of welds.
I purchased the round akrapovic tips to help with drone, but the mechanic didn’t feel comfortable about shaving the diffuser to get these to fit. He showed me how much play there is with the muffler (when pushing on it which will occur when going over speed bumps and bumps in the road in general) and said that would translate to the tips rubbing against the diffuser. From what folks have said, that is occurring and leading to vibrations. I’ve put a 100 miles on the car with the Borla and the in cabin noise (whatever you want to call it) is unbearable. I want to significantly reduce drone without cutting the car and I don’t want tips to rub and lead to vibrations.
As I see it, here are my options:
1) go back to stock, sell Borla and take a big hit
2) install round tips by cutting diffuser, tips will most likely rub with the diffuser given the movement of the muffler and cause vibrations
-modification here would be to have the rear pipe welded to prevent movement as one user mentioned, however I’m curious if that would impact the exhaust sound
3) purchase oval tips and install without cutting diffuser, but again because of muffler movement rubbing and vibrations may occur and my only option to address would be welding test pipe
4) wear earplugs. LOL
Feedback is appreciated. Did I miss any other options?
I was in the same boat as you when I installed my Borla. Was on the verge off going back to stock and selling it. I decided to add sound proofing material to the trunk and this helped considerably. Then I did the "drone fix" talked about extensively on this forum by wrapping the muffler with muffler wrap and tucking it into the back of the tips to fill in the gap and clamping it all down. These 2 things eliminated 90% of the drone and cabin noise. Now I absolutely love it.
