Engine Replacement

Nobody knows since there's no logs... but running a 7 psi with a guess on ethanol content Is a VERY likely culprit
So was it the +7psi of boost or the ethanol? Definitely not going to argue the fact that running the additional boost didn't accelerate the problem, but I doubt it was the only issue with the motor. Might've had something wrong with it from the factory that was going to happen eventually and this just sped it up.

Either way, I'm still, personally, going to run my E30 tune...even though the owner's manual tells me not to.

You are. There have been a handful of stock drivetrain failures in the time I've been on here.
Fair enough.

But... I am not crazy since some stock drivetrain failures have occurred as you just said. But it's "good" to know that the majority were from modifications...

Have a question I have a 2020 stinger gt2 awd I seen the blown motors what years did you have and any transmission problems seem like mine is not shifting right in any mode like it gets stuck and does not down shift

Time to take it to the dealership. I just did an oil change on my car at 4500 miles and I have red transmission fluid leaking from where the trans and engine meet. Car doesn’t feel quite like it has full power so likely the trans is slipping. I have an appointment with my dealership on the 24th.

But when a Stinger goes, sometimes it can go all the way. The absolute worst drivetrain failure occurred here in Utah (forget the member's handle, sorry); a couple years ago, he or his wife was pulling through their neighborhood at low speed (c. 25 MPH) and the tranny simple disintegrated, "grenaded" is the accurate term. He had metal bits come through the floor. I am not exaggerating. The seat(s) took it, but still: if that had happened at freeway speed God alone knows what the outcome could have been.

The Stinger is a mass produced machine and therefore can "die" and in so doing take anyone with it. We all should know the risks of driving. We behave as if the universe owes us some guarantee that nothing bad can happen when we get inside two tons of metal and plastic and hurtle ourselves all over creation at foolish speeds (that would make medieval people pass out; I'm remembering that scene in "Just Visiting" :D). Anything can happen to any human-built mechanism: price of that mechanism means nothing more than that the "grenade" to kill you with costs more. Hah.

If your trans was slipping your tach would move like the tires were spinning.

That is a horrifying story!

Yeah Lady Luck and her chances can be sinister at times... always gotta be cautious and realistic...

I do have quite a few logs. Many of them were from Map 3 and Map 4 with ethanol mix. I would be happy to post them if it would help point to a data based narative. I'd be especially happy to post them if it would stop the shit posts about what the varying opinions are on possible scenarios and risks and start to build a technical case for learning.

Would they help?

I should have the car by this week or next week. At that time, I will find out as much info as possible as to what was seen. So far, I have the phone conversation with the tech stating that all "the oil went into the turbos. The engine was left without oil and even driving it a block or so home left it with a knock."

logs are always good, post them

If he was running e85 with 93 I would guess this was a turbo failure. It also could have been running to much e85 and his fuel pressure dropped.

Why would E85 cause a turbo failure?
Without logs he could of had an afr of 14 under boost because ethanol needs more fuel to hit stoich.
