Miles added up quickly as I was headed north of 16000 miles. i was doing my 85 mile commute from coastal mountains of California to Silicon Valley . So lots of seat time in this car. It’s a winner!

Kudos to designers wh went out on limb with this car.

However Kia you need to get your execution , quality and over all dealerships improved . Detracts from such a great car.

Headed to Porsche dealer today to trade my favorite Kia on new 2019 911 Carrera T. It’s my dream car and I had it custom built to all my specifications as a true lightweight sports touring car. Will be getting work on local tracks and fun drives down PCH.

My new daily driver will be my 2018 Dodge Durango RT . Love that Hemi! And still need practical SUV or I’d keep Kia and boot dodge.

Will miss teasing the Stinger faithful but know I will always have a special place in my heart for all of you and Stinger experience .

Bye.

All the best Cali. You’ve been critical of some parts of the car and KIA generally and you’ve copped a fair bit of flak for that but you’ve kept all your arguments fact based and haven’t descended into name calling or hair pulling and I respect that.

I hope your new ride delivers all that you are hoping for. She looks beautiful.

I've always wanted a Porsche like that too, but I wouldn't trade my GT1 (+ a lot more money) for it. I'm still in the honeymoon phase with my new KIA though, so that might be it.

Honeymoon phase, heh! Mine is over ten months along. Shows no signs of abating. :D (that includes how I feel about my dealership too)

Good to hear! I don't see myself tiring of this car for a very long time myself! It's the best car I've ever had. I had a more expensive truck, but didn't jive with that truck the way I do with this car. This is my ultimate whip!

Congrats! Looks beautiful! I’m sure you’ll have a lot of fun with it.

Expensive toy

Many would say that about our Stingers..
43K+ for all I get for my GT2 AWD is a bargain for such a practical daily driver, not an expensive toy. You would never catch me in a Porsche. It's everything I don't want in a car.

As drivers who can appreciate the value, it's a bargain for what we get, but my point is, there are many people who would think the performance and handling are unnecessary, so we bought an "expensive toy".. it's all relative.

Sure, I get that. But for me, the things I needed/wanted were 4 doors, AWD, nice room for full grown adults in the front and rear seats, a hatchback for cargo space, a great warranty and for it to look damn good. Not too many cars out there check all those boxes for less and I wasn't about to settle after tons of years of driving used vehicles I didn't like because I lived where there was tons of snow and I had a wife and four kids in the house :)

Yes, I could have gotten the GT or GT1 and still gotten all that, but for the price I got the GT2, it made sense to just go all the way.

Oops I feel responsible for starting this debate:laugh:
Don't worry and just enjoy it.
Congrats again:)

So long thanks for the entertainment etc. Umm I trust you've organized a replacement? Otherwise we will be without a Pantomime villain.:D
