EK1Pro Tune - Sixth Element

Yeah, I tried many permutations of hooking mine up to the diagnostic port and never got it to work, the jb4 never thought it was connected.
Perhaps I have the wrong pins, the connector is a different style.
Hopefully these help

Yes, I will try those pins. Thanks!
I actually found the exact molex connector that the jb4 uses from the unit so I created a mating wire, so I just disconnect the obd2 cable and put my wired connector in with straight pins to go in the diag connector.
Hopefully I can try tomorrow, been raining here today.

Sad to report that I won't be able to join you guys in this exciting development you are all sharing with Sxthnk. Having started this thread a year ago and realizing the potential of the EK1 for our cars, I have waited patiently for the ECU unlock feature to be released and then waited again until the EK1 Pro became available only to be told by Sxthnk that they do not support tuning cars outside of the US, Canada & Australia, even though the calibration ID patch is listed.

They told me to check with other tuners, not sure why other tuners are able to tune my car but not Sxthnk. Anyways, I will have to make the best of the situation I am in as I already wired and installed the EK1 Pro on the car.

They recommended N75 Motorsports, has anybody heard or has any experience with them. Their profile seems that they are great at tuning the 4cylinder Hyundia/Kia platform but not too much info or results posted for the 3.3l

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
If the weather clears, tomorrow evening I plan to try Terry's BEF on a couple different maps at the track. Currently on map 0, since he says that should be equivalent to map 1 on stock. I think I will mix in a couple gallons of E85 (I can get on the way to the track), so I can try map 1 or 2, as well as with 80/20 on WMI map 7.

I am driving the BEF for a while now and all i can say is that im impressed.
Went up in maps and carefully let everything adapt.

Today i ended up #37 (7.75s) 100-200kph on Dragy world list with my custom map6 on german RON102 pump only (no E85, no WMI, no Booster) and 4psi less than with jb4 on stock ECU.

Terry also has different maps (timing and fuel) for different fuel.

So let him jump in!

PS: i am VERY satisfied with my Lozic TCU. Using it a year now.

Feel free to contact me via Insta if you want

Same for dragy

Where do you live?

When a patch is available for your ECU id you are able to patch it and use whatever tuner you want.

Go for the BMS BEF first if SXTH doesnt support your car. Or maybe its just a missunderstanding?

I live in Bahrain, its not a misunderstanding unfortunately, Nathan did acknowledge the matching calibration ID patch but still forward me elsewhere, so I don't think its a matter of him unable to do it, that also means I won't be able to get his hybrid turbo upgrade he is working on as well as I will need his tune and support for that.

It seems I don't have much choice here so I will go with the BEF if Sxthnk confirms its possible, but I want a TCU tune as well which Terry doesn't provide.

SCK0T33NH0 is my ID for the TCU, not sure if thats the same on you have.

How do you get the ID for the TCU? Im only getting the ECU ID when I read the ECU.

Yes, on the lozic side of things, his TCU just uses the brake snip without the extra switch. As does Torks, Lap3s, and even sxths non ecu launch. they are all basically the same. When it comes to sxths ecu based lc, its taking the factory values and changing them, which can cause interesting things to happen because its torque based (as is basically everything in our ecu's), which is what nathan and I are trying to work out. Right now from what terry has told me, he does not have access to the ECU launch files yet, so any launch done on his BEF would be through the TCU.
How is the TCU tune delivered? Especially in my case where I already have a Tork TCU? Would I have to get my TCU flashed back to stock by Tork to get a Sxth TCU tune? Is the TCU flashed through the OBD via EK1? I need answers!

When you do a ECU read, choose CPTSH2.08.1 which is the TCU

Your tork TCU may or may not read, I honestly dont know, but it may also brick it. I had a lozic TCU before I got my EK1 and I decided to sell it and get an OEM TCU before I did any of the flashing just in case.

This is correct, however when you go to read it, it may say the vehicle is unresponsive. If it does, that's okay. you will still be able to flash the TCU tune anyway when it comes time to flash it. that was the case that happened with my car. Nathan and I where stumped as to why it would not read, so we just decided to say F**K it and tried to flash it anyway and it worked (and has worked since) without a hitch. The only thing is that after you flash the tcu tune, when you go to start the car the first time, it will just attempt to turn over, and it will fail. Don't worry, that's part of the process. Let it crank for about 3 seconds, then turn the car off, wait a few more seconds, then turn the car on again. EVERY single time I have flashed a TCU tune, it has done this, and EVERY time it turns on with no issues on the second attempt. Im guessing its part of the mating process, but I've never bothered to ask about it because its never bothered me.

I'm sorry to hear that Sxth wont support outside of those countries, its most likely a legal thing and not wanting to get involved with potential automotive mishaps in countries they don't know the laws in. On the bright side, I have heard nothing but good things from N75 and I know that they are a BIG player in the N car game just like sxth is, so id say that they are probably to be trusted. It may take a few more revisions to get everything in order, but im sure it would be fine. Any company that can get a good reputation with the N cars, should be able to do our stingers no problem, as the N cars are WAY more advanced in their complexity compared to ours, just from all the features they have and things they can do.

Never had that happen to me, and have flashed the TCU 3 times now.

That did happen though when I flashed the ECU, but there was something with the flash that caused every error light to come on.

Guess each car has it's own issue when it comes to the flashing

Ive also had that, but Usually for me they go away after the flash is done, if not I just flash the file again and its fine.

I have three options to choose from, when i choose the read ECU ID I end up with the following screen which doesnt have CPTSH2.08.1

I have the EK1 Lite, but it's under Read ECU ID

I buy most of my parts from N75 as they are one of the only KDM shops in Canada.

Daniel seems alright. He kind of half-ass answers my questions via email, but im not sure if thats an ESL thing or what.

Re the TCU tune and not turning over, this was not my experience.

Anyone know if either BMS or Sxth will support someone in a certain state with maps / adjustments, even if they aren't selling the EK1 in said state? It would be pretty annoying if someone, just theoretically you understand, were to acquire an EK1 Lite, and then be prevented from buying actual maps to use with it, due to their residency in said state..

I would go the opposite way, start with map7 with an additive of 50, see how your pulls are, then just adjust that accordingly, as it can emulate all the other maps while still having your meth safety. See how it goes using just your 91 and meth first, then add e85 if the logs come back that bad. since you have methanol, there really is no point for any of the other maps besides 6 and 7, as 6 is custom and 7 will emulate any other map you set it to do.
Here’s my first run
