Just ordered oneNo problem. I also recommend picking up a micro SD card reader that can connect to your phone so you dont have to use a computer to move files.
Thanks

Did yours not come with the 4 way USB thing? It holds the micro SD card in the standard USB side. It has the USB-c, and Iphone all in one. It's like a 4 way USB drive when the card is put in it.No problem. I also recommend picking up a micro SD card reader that can connect to your phone so you dont have to use a computer to move files.
No, I think only the EK1 Pros get that.Did yours not come with the 4 way USB thing? It holds the micro SD card in the standard USB side. It has the USB-c, and Iphone all in one. It's like a 4 way USB drive when the card is put in it.
Ahh, that's right. I forgot about the lite! No, I think only the EK1 Pros get that.
I don't know who needs to hear this but the EK1 Pro is back in stock and on sale for $100 off ($899) on the SXTH site. I just got the EK1 Lite today.
Similar experience except my ECU ID had no patch file to download. I emailed SXTH and got a response 2 days later to use another existing ECU ID but there are no available tunes for that patch file either. So far I'm hitting walls and getting frustrated and having second thoughts on this whole experience.Well, so far not a completely successful experience with my ek1lite I received on Friday.
Once I tracked down a USB A to B cable so I could power it up outside the vehicle, I was able to update the firmware successfully.
Had to figure things out piecemeal, the unit came with two info cards, each with a QR code that take you to nonexistent web pages, so no single set of instructions to follow.
Was able to get my ECU ID’s I need to get the proper patch file and updated the ECU.
When I try to read the OEM tune though, it throws an error after about 20 seconds. It did create a file in the maps folder of the micro sd card, but I don’t know if it is correct.
I updated my profile on sxthnktuning.com, but I don’t see any available tunes.
I have an email into sxth element, hopefully they get back to me soon.

The generation of that file is actually part of the way it's done, so you can patch the ECU. If your numbers don't match then you have a new ECU they don't have in their system yet and they will create a patch for you. It's going to be like that until they have a revision of every ECU out there.Well, so far not a completely successful experience with my ek1lite I received on Friday.

So you're saying once you patched the file to your ECU it changed the ID to something else?Had the same issue. Nothing matched my ECU, and after patching it became CENNDM_U_N2B which seems to have limited options. Looks like the ECU with ID CKHK3TMS2C7C is the one that's more common
That is correct. So you're saying once you patched the file to your ECU it changed the ID to something else?
This is the one I use for reference, and it was 100% not my original ID. So Sxth will get you up and running, don't worry. The initial process can just take some time, especially with Nathan on vacation. He is suppose to be back sometime this week.Had the same issue. If memory serves, I got an error as well when I read mine for the first time and I sent it off to them anyway and they got back to me with a working patch. I can't be certain as that was back in January but im pretty sure the file generate gives them all the info they need. However I would send them an email if you haven't already just to be safe. There was a patch file for my ECU, but I get an error when I try to read the OEM tune, so I don’t know if the file I get in the maps folder is correct.
I didn’t go back and reread the calibration ID, I will try that and see if it changed.
I did send an email, but if Nathan is on vacation, might not get a response right away, I’ll be patient. If memory serves, I got an error as well when I read mine for the first time and I sent it off to them anyway and they got back to me with a working patch. Before I patched, it would give me a 1kb file. After I wrote the patch, it generates a 4.2 mb bin file when I read the ECU data so maybe the read is correct and the error is normal?if i remember correctly you should have gotten a 1KB .bin file. that files goes to them, and they send you back a patch file which then will give you a 4MB .bin file. from there you will be able to upload the .ekp files
the 4.2mb file is def normal, all the ecu tunes are around that size, so it had to have read the correct one that time.I did send an email, but if Nathan is on vacation, might not get a response right away, I’ll be patient.

the error is normal as you can't read it more than once. it's set that way so you can't hook it to another car and pull the file.I did send an email, but if Nathan is on vacation, might not get a response right away, I’ll be patient.

Ok, thanks.the error is normal as you can't read it more than once. it's set that way so you can't hook it to another car and pull the file.
Same way if you read the TCU. you'll be able to read it once, then you will get an error if you try again
I currently have 2 files in my map folder the BIN file which is like 1k and the EKP file which is like 4.2MB. I haven't wrote the EKP file into my ECU yet until I hear back from Nathan because it's written for a different calibration ID than what I scanned from my ECU. I'm terrified of bricking my ECU.the 4.2mb file is def normal, all the ecu tunes are around that size, so it had to have read the correct one that time.
