Eibach Rear Sway Bar Impressions

Crap. The guy at Evasive Motorsports (where I ordered my rear sway bar) said Eibach were on holiday until this past Thursday. Now you come along and say "mid-January"? *sigh!*
Just passing along what the rep from Tire Rack told me, when he called to confirm I was OK with a delay in shipping the product.

Being up to my ears with work after the holidays, my first thought was I should be working for those guys ... :)

I've got the Eibach front and rear sways ordered, probably going to be another few weeks until they arrive as Eibach is apparently closed until mid-January. I briefly contemplated ordering just the rear bar, but keeping the stock front and installing an uprated rear bar just sounded like a recipe for inducing oversteer at the limit.

I might not install for a while as we're mid-winter here, but the the sale that Tire Rack has on right now for the pair was just too good to pass up.
Thanks. And I'm waiting to hear if rear does all I want. I do wonder about both oversteer as well as late turn-in/understeer with the front unimproved. Please do let us know what you find! Good luck!

Well, good news: Eibach are evidently back to work. Evasive Motorsports emailed me this afternoon, that my rear sway bar is on its way. And shortly after that I got a FedEx email confirmation, saying that next Tuesday it will be delivered. So, barring my mechanic being overworked, it could be on my car before next weekend. But almost a hundred percent sure it will be in no later than sometime the week after next.

It won't help me with my launch control escapades, however. :P:rolleyes:

All threads so far seems to have the Eibachs on soft, can anyone comment if they have tried both hard and soft and which one they have decided to go ahead with? I just got my set in the mail and deciding which way to go prior to getting my mechanic to install them.

I've had the eibach's installed front and back for about 4 months give or take. I had them installed by a shop on the stiff setting (front and back). This car is my daily driver and I could for sure tell the stiffness to some degree. I then just changed them to soft about a week ago. I'd have to say soft is the way to go for a daily driver. With the stiff, I felt like I was always loosing the backend when pulling out onto the main drag. Now when I do the exact same thing on the same roads I feel more "planted". Also, I had this weird clunk sound when I'd go through dips and rough roads. Not sure if that's related to the bars...but it seems to have lessened or gone away in the soft setting. So...that's where I'm at. Oh and I'd definitely recommend them because whether stiff or soft, I feel the car gets back in line quicker if there is any "sliding".

Ditto, I also have F&R fitted & soft setting is the way to go as a DD, even Eibach says Hard is more for track use.

Was just joking. Watched that documentary on Keith recently. Yes, a lot of 'city miles', but he is quite interesting and wise in his own way. All that wisdom gained through sex, drugs, and rock-n-roll! Who knew?

He said in his hey day that Jack Nicholson could party harder! Apparently he left keif in his dust , still going after a 3 day/night binge.

Hey guys, I am gonna chime in... I have had the whole kit for a while and failed to install the bars due to back order and also felt like the car was insane with just the spring upgrade. Well, after some time of pushing the car with elevated speeds in a dip curve/ slight switchback style road, I can see how the back end becomes a little unsettled. It’s doesn’t come off the road, however you can tell there is some rear end sway under load that can be a little uncomfortable. Ok, advancing ahead here.... I am gonna have both bars installed today and will come back and give an update / review later after driving for a while. I am going to have the bars both set to soft setting and let me say this, I am a professional driver and have been trained in high speed driving. I will do my best to give a great feedback review as soon as I can to help others with their decision.
