Eibach Pro-Kit Springs and Sway Bar Review w/ pics

How difficult is the install of the Eibach pro kit on the base Stinger? My neighbor (former professional mechanic) did my Ford Fusion can assist. I'm just concerned with the ride modes there is more electronics that you need to be mindful of?

Any feedback on the difficulty of install and electronics around the spring area?

Thank you!

The ride modes are handled by the shocks, they just have a cable attached to them but everything is fairly straight forward for the install.

Here is a DIY guide. It’s for ARK springs but the Eibachs install the same.

Hey guys, I have still been in the process of Ceramic Coating the car, I am almost completely done... I have to do the front clip, rear bumber, trunk lid, roof, rims, and engine bay. Wanted to share a few photos as to what it looks like. I am still loving the Eibach Springs on the car!!! Rides so nice and just blows my mind with the increased handling capabilities. I am still waiting on the rear bar to come, and then we will get both front and rear bars installed and get the car aligned. Hope you guys enjoy the photos, I think it just screams sexy!!!!!! I went out of town in it the other week, I had people asking me about it everywhere I stopped for gas and coffee. Anyways, here are some photos as promised from several weeks back.

You heard it here folks...!

@DaJackson @Tonkabob has reported some creaking after installing the front sway, have you experienced the same? I've bought both, but not sure if I should install the front one.

Rear sway bar - installation

I have just spoken to a suspension specialist and they have said that there are two possibilities as to the cause of the creaking.
1. Not enough grease on bushes
2. If you only have one sway fitted the car will twist more when cornering as there are two differing types of sways fitted. He suggested that you should fit both and keep setting front and back the same.

YouTube it, I am sure I saw something on the creaking and Eibach sways. Fix was a water proof marine grease.

I started that thread. While not everyone seems to have experienced the issue, here in Atlanta over the winter we had record rainfall and I believe that exacerbated the issue. There are grease ports so you could inject grease every time it starts to make noise. Though after using the tef-gel recommended in the youtube video it's been silent so I'm hoping it will be a longer term solution.

I have the pro plus package coming in the mail. Once it arrives I will check for grease nipples and report back

Ditto, but both springs and sways are back ordered for me (like everyone else)

This will be my 4th set of Prokits, one of the things I like about it is that for most driving it should feel almost stock because of the progressive wind. The rest of the spring is quite a bit firmer, so that sounds correct to me. You don't want to drop 1.4" in the front at the same spring rate, so expect them to feel a little stronger against the road. It shouldn't really affect your steering per se, however, the firmer spring rates means that weight transfer is quicker, so there should be less wallow so you'll feel it respond quicker because the weight will be on the outside tire in less time.

The sways won't affect firmness, but will reduce body roll and further affect weight transfer, and will have more affect on traction behavior around the limits of the tires (over vs under steer and total traction).

There are grease nipples. The bottom of the car has plastic shielding, there are small openings in the shield near the bushings so you could access the grease nipples with a grease gun with a flexible hose, but the car sits so low working room is limited unless you lift the car.

The general rule is you don't mix different kinds of grease, so only use the nipples to inject the same grease that you originally lubed with, otherwise if you want to try a different grease dissemble, clean and then apply.

Thanks for that bit of info - if all stingers come with grease nipples then that is a no brainier.

As for the grease - if you are not doing that maintenance yourself then how do you know that the shop you take it to is using the same grease?
