Eibach Pro-Kit Springs and Sway Bar Review w/ pics

You will be very pleased with the result once you fit the front, then take it for a good run.
Your impressions after the weekends proceedings? There were plenty of bends for you lol.

I had the front and rear sway bars installed months ago at an import shop and I like the sways, but I've noticed recently that I have this weird sound when I go over rough road or a "ditch" in the road. It's hard to explain, but it's almost like I'm riding on the rim. I only notice it while riding over rough roads or when I go through a "ditch". Maybe that's how it is was and I just notice it more now??

A few weeks ago I had my oil changed at Kia. They flipped the tires from one side to the other and that's where I thought it was coming from. I thought maybe they didn't tighten the lugs enough. I brought it into them to have them check and they said they were able to tighten them a bit more, but that didn't really solve the problem. Also, they didn't really want to take the time to diagnose. Solid customer service. Their answer was "if that doesn't fix it, that might be a characteristic of the car".

The next thing I'm going to try this weekend is to have the tires balanced. Maybe that has something to do with it? I dunno. If that doesn't fix it, maybe have the guys who installed the bars tighten things up??

Bottom line; I actually love the way the sways keep things in line... I just have this weird sound now and I'm not sure what it's from. :ninja:

Maybe your sway bar bushes need greasing.

Totally pleased with the overall handling now, as stated previously this setup suits my driving style & I love the way it takes corners now, especially in Sport mode at higher speed it feels great & goes where you point it, I cannot recommend this upgrade highly enough.

How did it go over Mt Keira on the weekend and all the rough patches. Do the bars stop that rear twitchy feel you get over corrugated roads?

Just did my rear Eibach sway. Haven’t driven it yet, but visually it’s much more impressive. Pretty simple install. Installing the front tomorrow night.

Would like to hear how just rear vs both felt.

Yeah, I'm thinking it has to be the bars, as it just seems to only happen when over rough roads or dips (what I meant by "ditch" earlier) in the road. I'll give that a shot!

It was great going up there, I have both F & R set to soft which is what Eibach recommend for these type of roads, even my wife who was a passenger only, also noted how much less the car “rolls”.

Well it cannot hurt, I did some bumpy & twisty roads last Sunday & I had no issues.

Thanks good to know about the roll

I am more concerned with the wiggle feel when the rear hits a rough patch on one side and the car feels as though the back end skips out. How was that aspect?

Yes I know what you mean about the wiggle, so far this hasn’t presented itself now.
The swaybars firm/stiffen this aspect as it states on the installation guide for “softest” setting without compromising the ride quality by leaving the springs OE.
There is also another thread here re: Eibach Sways only, you may also read any reviews in there as well, if any other members with sways only fitted please feel free to chime in with your thoughts.

Hey guys, just and update here.... been super busy as always!!!!! Tomorrow I am installing the Eibach suspension kit and was wondering what the general opinions on the front bar setting were?? I want maximum lateral G cornering ability cause I love off ramps!! Who has set the front bar to Setting A and wants to give me commentary?? Guys I will be back up here with some more comments on the Eibach kit and the Pro Tuner comments and reviews... I will have tons of pictures also, after the ceramic application is completed. Stay tuned and stay safe guys!!!

Mod Edit: cleaned up all the way off topic stuff.

Let’s keep this thread about the suspension parts. If you want to talk about tuning there are threads for that and vendor review forums to give feedback.
