3.3TT EBC Two Piece Floating Rotors to be released

Here’s a look at some early pricing. The Two-Piece rotors and Pads are available. There are a few tabs up top to look at pads, rotors and kits. Looks like the solid rotors aren’t available yet, but pricing is up. KIA Stinger 3.3 Twin Turbo 2017- - Perfect Brakes Discs, Pads and Shoes

From EBC regarding the two-piece rotor weight they ended up with:
“The brake disc is the heatsink of the brake system so by function it needs to have some mass. The EBC 2pc discs’ 'mass saving' is much more modest than [others] because we only remove mass from the hub section of the disc (replacing it with aluminium) but we do NOT subtract mass from the cast iron rotor, because doing so risks reducing the ability of the brake system to operate at acceptable temperatures and risks constantly overheating the pads.
The EBC disc is also fully-floating by design rather than 2pc 'bolted' or 2pc 'semi-floating'.”

From EBC regarding rear two-piece development:
“Rear discs we don't have developed yet as it requires a new cast iron disc ring tool, but that’s definitely something we're looking at and will release later on in the year.”

I made first mention of a group buy in my most recent reply. Let’s see what they have to say...

Weight quoted is right. I got just over 19lbs on my scale but I would expect my scale to be off.

They do fit the GT even though they are listed for GTS.
Whoa , look who the cat dragged in ! Nice to see you back , now about those white tips ?? :)

Got the car back today. Was only able to drive for 30 min or so with light braking to try and bed the pads EBC Yellowstuff.

These replaced Cquence slotted and dimpled rotors with EBC Redstuff. First impression is that these have more initial bite than the previous set up. No noticeable improvement with the reduced weight but I didn’t push the car very hard.

What up on a group buy?

And Girodisc should have rear floating rotors out this month.

@DaJackson how have they been working out? i put the same rotors on and went with yellowstuff pads, feels very nice so far.
Definitely more initial bite, thats all probably the pads to be honest, but the rotors are super nice.

Are these rotors single use or can you machine them when replacing the pads (I.e. when the rotors get groves in them)?

Are the stock rotors single use?
