Doug is selling the Stinger

LOL sweet deal for him! Did you look at the bid history? Someone bid $34,000 and the next bid (the winning bid) was a $38,250 bid. Pretty bad bidding strategy there i'd say.
It is possible that the 2nd highest person bid up to $38,000. In that case $34,000 may have put them in the lead. Then when someone else bid up to $39,000 it would jump up to the next highest amount above $38,000.

Also someone may have just wanted to guarantee that they got it. Bidding $39k when it was at $34k would discourage anyone else from bidding for sure.

A lot of YouTubers can write off the entire amount of a vehicle as a business expense. They would probably think that having Doug’s car would give them HUGE exposure. Plus they don’t actually pay for the car. Our tax dollars pay for it in some cases.

It is amazing all of the tax evasion that YouTubers are able to get away with since the Tax cuts and Jobs act was passed.

Tax = theft, our forefathers went to war cuz increase in taxes.

I’ve never bid on Caaaaars and Bids!!!!!!!!! before but on eBay it shows the automatic bids in the bid history. So if the second bidders max bid was $38,000 it should show the incremental automatic bids in the history, otherwise the winning bidder looks like an asshat!

I couldn’t find a way to see the bid history on cars and bids now. Does anyone know how to do that?

It's possible you have to have an account to see the incremental bids. There is that little arrow next to the bid with a number so that could be the number of automatic/incremental bids between each manual bid.

The main question is why we put so much attention and respect to what these kind of youtubers have to say? What authority or credentials do these people have? For me I don't give a peanut what Doug, Savageese, etc have to say.
Some of us just enjoy watching car reviews. It doesn't mean we take everything they say as gospel.
I will say I never considered Kia until I saw James May drive the Stinger and Doug review it, that introduced me to it and got me curious. Then I saw it at the auto show and took a look because of that curiosity, which led to a test drive and I was sold. It's not that I thought Kia was a bad brand, just they hadn't really ever made anything I was interested in and frankly didn't do much to advertise the Stinger themselves. So I found it through my love of watching car reviews.

Looks like Doug sold it for what he bought it for. $38,500

I must be in the minority because I quite like Doug. I think his review of the power and handling dynamics of the Stinger were pretty spot on. But of course a 2 year old car isn't going to have the newest tech is it Doug....
I really like him too- and ever since he reviewed the stinger I’ve been waiting for my chance to get one and am stoaked I finally did
