Well then my friend......I am out of suggestions. But if it makes you feel any better I too have gouged 3 of my 4 rims to the point of professional repair and my Stinger has freakin cameras! However my dealer threw in the Global Warranty package to get my business so the $540 for the fix was covered.. I have since "LEARNED MY LESSON"
I saw a new Nissan Altima SR with curb feelers today Made me think of this thread. Haven't crunched any rims yet, the secret is to go slow and use the front/rear side cameras when parallel parking! The resolution on the top-down view isn't good enough to really parallel park with. I only use it to make sure I'm within the lines on parking spots.

I mean you can change the top-down 360 view to look at either the forward or rear wheels on either side, which in my experience are much more helpful than the all-around view when you're parallel parking.

Went to DC, had to do parallel park, the space was so tiny, I was just focused on the line on left and bumped bad in to curb. There goes around $200-250.
Hey, did you ever find a place to repair your rim in the DC area. If so can you provide the place and price they charged you? I literally just scraped the curb coming into my work parking lot while trying to grab my gate card.

Here's another one. Yesterday. I would have backed in, but there was a bush that my door would have opened into. I literally touched the curb: the powder coat is off in a 1 1/2" long, 1/8" wide (at the widest) spot: hardly even a scrape: I felt and heard nothing, but when I got out and saw my sidewall touching the cement, well, good thing I was by myself. Backed away and angled and pulled forward to where the wheel shows in the pic. Got out my gloss black touchup and did one quick pass over the damage: far from perfect but I can't see it looking down at the wheel from a few feet away: I'll put more attention into the fix when the weather is warmer.
Oh, yeah, I forgot to record this one (here) exactly two months ago: the library drop box was pushed back c. half a foot and the end of my spoke smacked the island stanchion (I wasn't alone and had to repent to my wife).

Merlin come on man it’s time for you to get a grip on this behaviour and rid it from your game plan. I to suffered from this illness in the early days but I have to say it’s been well over a year since my last laps. Perhaps pay closer attention viewing the monitor on the curb side. You do have monitors, right? Nonetheless I understand your anguish.

The front of this car has always kicked my trash: which is why I covet 360 degree cameras: I only have reverse camera. The only way this will NEVER happen again is if I never pull into an end stall estimating clearance: in other words, taking the far right end stall is anathema: I should only pull around the far left end stall, where I can easily see how close I am cutting toward the curb with the LR wheel. I wasn't thinking this one through. I know better. Really.
