They were all crushed.
Why would Stinger Experience Tour cars need to be crushed? Are you thinking about the KDM demo models?

He's right, when I went to the Tour the drivers said all the cars would be destroyed. Maybe it has to do with safety after the Tour cars were ripped around turns for months on end?Why would Stinger Experience Tour cars need to be crushed? Are you thinking about the KDM demo models?
A "corporate respray"-specific hue?If they did offer competition orange they'd be trampled in the rush Top colour
Reckon also it will sell if offered I.e. as a numbered Ltd edition model.
There is another thread with a poll showing nearly all of the bad paint cars are Nov and Dec 2017 build dates. No colors noted on that one.Is there a safe build date for the black stinger I was looking at one with an 11/17 build date not sure if it is safe. The paint looks ok on it.
I have not received any confirmation of an amount in my specific case...still waiting for the letter as well that details this. This amount of comp will def be a topic of discussion during my follow up call. So, I’ve seen this number of 5000 being thrown around here and on Facebook with regard to the financial goodwill offering. Is that the amount being given to the Sunset Yellow owners from the US who select the respray option? Where are people getting this number from?
Call her back. She sent me an email right away. After my phone call, she said she was going to email me with my reference number and contact info, well, that was two days ago and still nothing![]()
Yep, just relaying what I was told. They were to be shipped back to South Korea for inspection to see, I would think, how they reacted to being thrashed from mile one and then crushed. He's right, when I went to the Tour the drivers said all the cars would be destroyed. This is unfortunate but what I’ve been saying.....Kia is denying that any other color has a paint problem except yellow. This is more proof of that. Best of luck to you and hope everything matches and holds up well. The comment about providing a sales contract is BS also. They have all of those in their records. What a shame.Dropped off my car on the 11th for a review of the peeling/chipping/issues. A few days later, was called back and told that front end of the car would be stripped down and repainted where all of the issues were coming up. According to KMA (Kia Motors America) and the dealership, the car should be ready tomorrow, so we are going to see how this goes. Trust me, I will be looking at every part of the car, making sure its fixed and matches, in the hot Arizona sunlight before I sign and drive it off the dealerships lot.
As for any compensation check, I had to bring this up while on the call with KMA (Kia Motors America), getting the usual "Well, only the yellows have been identified for this paint peeling issue" and that I would have to provide them with a sales contract for them to even review the possibility of a compensation. I find it interesting that my car, showing the same exact issues as the yellow, in some cases worse, is being told that I don't have the same issues and that mine are different than what has been identified BY KIA.
From what I understand, if I was to receive a compensation check, that is taxed right?
If they're paying for a repaint, is it denying a paint problem? This is unfortunate but what I’ve been saying.....Kia is denying that any other color has a paint problem except yellow. If they're paying for a repaint, is it denying a paint problem?
Interesting, my experience was different.Getting them to the repaint has been a fricken journey. Every time I comment on the yellow getting treatment, I’m told other colors are just fine and that mine fine... lots of pictures later of progressing peel, changed their minds slightly... ie only the front end repaint.
This is one blue front repaint. Our polling shows a lot more than one with issues just like the yellow.....or worse. Where is the letter or phone call from Kia stating they are going to cover other colors like they are yellow? They even asked for proof of ownership.....sales contract.....from mattrain? Guess there will be a lot of surprised blue or red or black owners out there (who don’t follow this online forum) when their paint gives out.If they're paying for a repaint, is it denying a paint problem?
I don't think asking for the contract is too crazy. But I do agree they should be more proactive about other colors. However, I think the problem with yellow paint is very different from the other colors. I think the paint and clear coat is just extremely thin on other colors, causing failure. This is one blue front repaint.
