This is beyond over the top. Probably in fine print somewhere you will see that this tape is not suitable for automotive finishes. Not a good idea at all.he needs to work harder with that tape

Yep, looking forward to the update when he "removes" said "automotive" tapeThis is beyond over the top. Probably in fine print somewhere you will see that this tape is not suitable for automotive finishes. Not a good idea at all.

It is construction tape.Clean release. Only problem is that it pulls the finish with it. I use to be in construction. This tape can be your friend or worst enemy. No telling what happens when the sun reacts with it. I'm going to guess the outcome will not be good!Yep, looking forward to the update when he "removes" said "automotive" tape![]()
But please let us know if you get an increase in MPG's!Yep, looking forward to the update when he "removes" said "automotive" tape![]()
Had the same problem last weekend. My wife was going on a 500 mile road trip. I had to decide which stinger to sacrifice. I chose the yellow vs the red because I had received the call from Kia. To tell the truth the yellow is doing better than the red. The yellow only has 2 chips @ 1/2 the total miles. The Red is starting to get a few chips on the hood in odd places. There are also impact chips on the front bumper but more than there should be in my opinion.I don’t know if I should laugh or cry. I wish I had that kind of time on my hands though.
I have no paint chip issues with silky silver, just the bad fuel pump. Like I said yesterday though, if I look hard enough at the driver side headlight and try to move it I can see where an area may eventually let go. At about 2800 miles since Jan 31. I did sue Hyundai in or around 2002-2003 over Santa Fe issues and I basically was handed a new vehicle.Curious, do you have a case number with Kia for your car? If so, what has been the resolution?
Ok, because I think if you were dealing with Kia's escalation hotline, you wouldn't be calling for litigation just yet. Not criticizing you, just saying my experience with them has been nothing short of excellent.I have no paint chip issues with silky silver, just the bad fuel pump. I agree. Worked to get my fuel pump replaced. I just see a lot of people with colors other than yellow getting the run around.Ok, because I think if you were dealing with Kia's escalation hotline, you wouldn't be calling for litigation just yet. The main reason I posted what I did is if Kia is still claiming that there are NO issues except for yellow, they are truly hiding it. Too many people calling them about issues with blue at least, and I hope all the other colors. If my headlight lets go, I will be on the line like white on rice getting a case number.I agree. They 100% helped people with blueThe main reason I posted what I did is if Kia is still claiming that there are NO issues except for yellow, they are truly hiding it. That waits to be seen. Dealer was suppose to call me back on my paint quote??? Nothing, I called him. No return call. They 100% helped people with blue
I think maybe they just need to improve their communication.
Dealers, amirite? Should be dealing with customer service or a district rep. That waits to be seen. Dealer was suppose to call me back on my paint quote??? Nothing, I called him. No return call.
with a yellow stinger here in OKLA, does those options go for us USA owners? I have had no contact with KIA.I had read that Sunset Yellow owners had three options buy back, repaint, or swap for another Stinger.
Does anyone know why they are limiting the surfaces?
You wouldn't know unless you sold a Stinger and customer brought back with issues, you were on this forum, or you read in depth news of the Kia Stinger online. Kia has zero bulletins out about paint issues. I'd guess 75% of the dealers are unaware. We went to the dealer yesterday and asked about all this and they told us they haven't heard anything about it. Granted we live in nowhereville NC, so maybe they are out of the loop.
Has anyone in the US actually gotten a letter or anything about their yellow? I have been waiting and still nothing. Just wondering if it's going to hit us anytime soon or not.
