Wow, where did you find this gem?

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
The new limited edition. Ridiculous honestly. I considered the Type R before the Stinger but family can’t drive stick. Had a 92 Civic Si hatchback as my first car. Decided I don’t want the hot wheels boy racer look. My Stinger gets looks and compliments everywhere I go. Love it. As long as it doesn’t catch on fire!! Hahaha

Evidently this is some kind of extremely limited edition Honda Civic Type R. According to Honda's website this is a track-readish Honda that is lighter, thus quicker. However, that is still a hella of a price for a Civic.

I thought the $45k MSRP was ridiculous. Adding another $25k on top of that is just stupid. The crazy thing is that they will actually get that price from someone. Rare cars with lot’s of hype around them sell.

Kia should do an ultra limited edition(500 vehicles) Stinger with an upgraded engine. Just tune it to 450 HP and 500 lb ft of torque. Give it AWD and a switch to enable burn outs and drifting. They could get $65k to $75k for those cars easily.

My local Honda dealer had one with a $10k "adjustment". I'm not sure where the high demand came from.

There are only 600 of these cars destined for the US. Only 1,000 world wide. That is relatively rare. Also the Civic Type R has almost a cult following for the regular model. This thing takes obsessive desire to a new level.

From what I read, they are mostly charging for that they remove: rear heating ducts, tonneau cover, wiper blade, and sound-deadening materials. Sure, there is a special color (not a fan) and lighter wheels. But I think one could reclaim most of that 46 lbs themselves for a lot less than $25K. Seems like a better idea to have a second set of wheels and tires specifically for the track anyway.

Even cheaper for the driver to just lose 45lbs. Eat less, spend less, weigh less, go faster, win!

I have more power than that with rwd and lsd for 33k total...why would anyone drop another 30k?

Does your car still have a 10 year factory warranty though?

How are you putting all of that power to the ground with RWD. Just curious because I am having problems with traction in my essentially stock RWD GT2.

Yes I still have a warranty. I bought it brand new 18 months ago. All I have to do for waranty work is to unplug and re-install about 7 things.
Putting the power down is a matter of practice and wheel and tire trial and error.
I am still running stock wheels so I am limited on rubber but am currently running a 200 treadwear Federal 595rs-rr semi slick tire on the rear. This has helped my 60 ft times to be around 1.85 seconds. A far cry from the awd 60s but still much better than stock. This is without the brake snip also, which will be installed this weekend.
The car is a blast. I have tons of camaro and Mustang kills.

Because we are a free market...no one is forcing anyone to buy a limited edition, purpose-built, super-hatch.
