I was trying to affix my mirror mount for my dash cam and it’s way to tight there. I assume someone is using a dash cam. How are you mounting it. Suction cup doesn’t work for me, it will fall to the floor eventually. I had used the afore mentioned mirror mount it is my best option.

Most cams come with suction cup and a fixed mount that uses VHB or similar, you choose which to use.

If yours didn't, you could look for an alternative mount that would work.

I have an alternative (mirror) mount. The Stinger mirror shaft is very short and mine won’t strap around it. I was wondering if others here have found one that fits. I noticed in my research that some BMWs have a similar problem. The one I found wasn’t in stock and reviews were soso. Hoping others have found one.

The question is why wont the suction stick for you?
Usually when I’m parked outside and it’s sunny and even warm not hot but boy howdy when it’s hot. Crash bang splat. It lets go. I’ve tried different suction mounts and they all fall. That’s when I gave up and found a mirror mount that straps and clamps to the rod supporting the rear view mirror. Doesn’t fall. My Honda had a great flat ledge that unsuctioned my phone holder to. It lasted forever unlike the windshield for the dash cam.

The space behind this mirror is substantially smaller than my Honda and the clamp doesn’t have room. In my research I found BMWs have the same problem.mthere is one mount for them that probably would work as it loops over the rod and secures below in a different fashion. It’s out of stock and can’t find another. So I asked.

Edit:
If someone with a Stinger in Las Vegas has a solution, I’m all ears as I go there too. In the summer.

My new cam VIOFO A119S has a base with GPS builtin, that is glued to the window. My old cam had a suction cup, that held forever if properly attached.

Oh mine held a long time, weeks-months then it gets hot and pop. I cleaned the windshield, wet the cup and latched the switch, great ... then. The strap on the mirror rod never lets go.

I'm using a falcon zero f360 that I had in my last car. Snaps over the existing mirror. While it works, I wouldn't recommend it, as it keeps resetting itself (2nd one Ive had...)

I've had my suction cam on for 8 months now and it hasn't fallen once, even sitting for hours in 100+ degree weather.

What ever I’ve owned falls off in even medium sun. Sigh. I’m not using mine in the Stinger yet. Considering having a wire run done.

Yep leave your stuff in the sun, it will drop off! Lol
Did you see the post above? Yes I know this. I was able to work around it in my Crosstour. It had a shelf in front of the 8” display. Perfect to suction to and not be on the heating windshield. This car not so much.
