hey guys I am wondering if anyone has had a local shop make a custom catback exhaust for their car? I really like the borla but was wondering if I could get away with something much cheaper from a local shop who can just put something together... I’m looking for a nicer sound and some power gains but mostly going for sound.

Any help appreciated .. maybe this has been discussed a bunch and if so I apologize

Thats the beauty of Electrically Controlled dump valves you can open and close them. If you are looking for a full catback without any drone go with a full custom set up and be prepared to spend some serious coin. Possibly look into a titanium exhaust. I had a local shop quote me about 9K.

If someone said $9,000 for an exhaust I dont know if I would laugh loud enough for everyone in a 5,000,000 mile radius to go deaf, smack them into another demonstration, or run out of their shop so fast I would break the speed of sound. I've had custom titanium exhaust on 2 different cars and they may have cost $2,000 combined

I don’t want dump valves.. would like to enjoy the car and not have some loud cabin noise from them .. it’s a little too loud ..

Im in the same boat... thinking whether to go to a local custom exhaust shop here or just order the borla or soemthing similar... Thought about BOV but its a bit too ricey.

This summer I might go to some local shops and get quotes.. however I don’t know how much faith I have in some custom shop creating an exhaust for a car they haven’t dealt with before and also if it drones ... not sure if I’m just stuck with it then..
