Custom Exhaust ?

hey guys I am wondering if anyone has had a local shop make a custom catback exhaust for their car? I really like the borla but was wondering if I could get away with something much cheaper from a local shop who can just put something together... I’m looking for a nicer sound and some power gains but mostly going for sound.

Any help appreciated .. maybe this has been discussed a bunch and if so I apologize

It seems the cheapest way to gain exhaust noise is to delete the mufflers. A good exhaust shop can do this easily for a low cost, especially if the material didn't need to be stainless steel. I'd say, start making phone calls to local exhaust shops.

Im telling you go with dump valves! A few here have already went with it. It sounds great and has a nice gurgle when you let off the pedal!

I’ve heard of people doing this and then getting drone.. otherwise that would be a good idea

Thats the beauty of Electrically Controlled dump valves you can open and close them. If you are looking for a full catback without any drone go with a full custom set up and be prepared to spend some serious coin. Possibly look into a titanium exhaust. I had a local shop quote me about 9K.

I've got my stinger booked into an exhaust specialist on the 14th. He's going to swap out the mid pipe with one he's making with two added resonators. This is to fix the ridiculous drone/vibration the Ark grip has. Dynamatting the boot didn't fix the issue. The vibration is under the console and vibrates the nav/media area. The specialist test drove the car and agreed the drone or as he calls it "the cow mooing" noise. I'm trusting his 35 years of knowledge will pay off.
