3.3TT Creating True Plug-N-Play JB4 Harness (w/Fuel Wires)

This plug and play quick install adapter allows you to install a posi-tap for fuel control tuning without piercing the factory O2 sensor wiring providing a completely reversible connection.
You’re not the only one — everyone else who shares the same sentiment as you took the high road and didn’t post in a thread where people feel the opposite way. Yes, the prick can be covered by the insulation AND the prick is done on the sensor side as opposed to the vehicle side and therefore would be completely gone if the O2 senosors are changed. However, none of that is the point.

If you read the thread, you’ll notice that no one here stated the install of the JB4 to be difficult — I’m not sure where you got that from.

These harnesses are completely OPTIONAL and certainly not required by any means. However, for those who 1) remove their JB4, 2) do not trust Posi-Taps (as they can be overtightened or even lost), or 3) simply want a cleaner PNP solution — the harness would suit their desires.

After dropping the Posi-Tap when installing mine, I knew I would eventually get around to making it such that they weren’t needed.

Stinger owners aren’t the only ones who want another option. BMS is already onboard and looking into offering it. There’s an 8+ page thread on N54 Tech of people wanting the same as well as on some of theG70 boards.

I was not being patronizing at all it was an honest question. Speaking of the high road...................

I’m positive of all the JB4 owners out there, most are quite happy with the Posi-Tap solution and therefore have no desire to post here.

Additionally, I tend to prefer the clean look over everything else. I’ll take the time to make it clean and look as close to stock as I can possibly have it.

An honest question deserves an honest answer — see above.

TBH, the value of simply being able to plug it in cannot be understated.

UPDATE

I am still on track to have the first batch, which are the 1st 15, shipped by Friday 8/2 — or at the latest Saturday.

I can now start the process of ordering materials for the 2nd batch. There are 7 slots remaining in the 2nd batch.

Replace “lighter” with heat gun — especially if you’ve never dealt with wiring before. Don’t have a heat gun? Order one or pickup one from Walmart. No, a hairdryer won’t work for solder.

Add me to the list and send me your info, about when do you think 2nd batch will be done?

Wait, are you changing the instructions from "lighter" to "heat gun"? Just curious.

It doesn't affect me - I have a soldering iron and a heat gun I've been meaning to try (previous project I bought it for never turned out). Just wanted to confirm - which one is better?

Yes. As @robz32 kindly pointed out to me in private, if there are people performing this very minor modification, but have no experience with wiring of any kind, there's a chance they could damage the wiring, heat shrink, and solder sleeves. Since there are many different types of lighters the last thing anyone needs to do is take a blow torch to the wiring. Therefore, the recommendation was made to mention that a heat gun should be used as opposed to a lighter. I agree with him and the change was made.

Awaiting payment from @JP's_Stinger and @bcterp

You giving @JP's_Stinger and @bcterp a payment deadline? ;)

Yes, but we have to give a bit of time to our friends to the north as international shipping can be quite costly.

USPS Priority International is $25.85 to Canada and that’s the cheapest form of USPS branded shipping. I don’t know if it’ll get any cheaper by using non-USPS packaging and sending international first class going based on weight but that’s going to require that I take a trip to the post office, which I was trying to avoid unnecessary trips to a line that’s always out the door. We’ll get it figure out for them.
It's done! Sorry for the delay. Had lots of stuff to figure out, but now it's all good. I'll make sure to post photos of the before/after as soon as I install the PNP harness. Thanks again @ecko04!!

As of know, whenever I remove the JB4 I just disconnect the fuel wires from the taps and leave the taps in place. No one seems to care.
