I have a 2023 GT-Line AWD. Continental says these tires won't fit. I see people here running them. What gives? Be nice, I know jack about wheels and tires.

Maybe they are saying that because of the rear tires being the wrong size/OD? They don't want to hassle this any further"

My tires are the same size all around though. I'm just confused how people are running these at all on the stock rims, which take 225 45R18 according to the sticker on the car.

You forgot to say what size tire your trying to run

Whatever works on the car. That's the thing - the sticker says 225 45R18. Not a size for the DWS06+. But I still people here running them. How? Aftermarket rims?

Any 225/45/18 will fit the OEM 18" wheels. my first post above was addressing 19" staggered wheels.

Not 100% positive (as I haven't done the research) but is it possible that the reason why they are showing up "not fitting" or "not compatible" is due to the load and/or speed rating? I'm not sure exactly what all the options that are available for the DSW06+ in 225/45 R18.

Edit: After doing some checking, I think it's the load index. The DSW06+ load rating for the 225/45R18's is 91 (1356 lbs) and the Stinger supposedly requires a load index of 95+ (1521 lbs). It looks like that's the only option. So my guess is they're not "compatible" due to load.

Yep, that looks like the reason. Wonder why people are running them here... sounds kinda dangerous.

I'm running them, but I'm also on a staggered set of sizes that fall within the load and speed specs.

Maybe not the same vehicle setup as you?

The link you attached doesn't' work for me.

I had them on my 2018 GT2 RWD.

@OP, DWS06+ in 245/45/18 should fit the 18x8.0 wheels. Or 245/40/18. I'm running this size myself. Working well, but thinking of going 245/45/18 next time for better comfort.

The 40 profile is almost a direct match to the OE bridgestone garbage size wise. 45 Will be slightly taller, resulting in a 2-3mph @ 60 mph speedo error reading lower than actual speed.

Replace the "dot" with a dot...
Ahhh, yes...the old "dot" "." :geek:

So, yes...looks like many in that thread are not on the GT-Line platform. If you're concerned, maybe pop in to the shop and ask them what's what to make sure. It can't hurt if you're concerned.
