Contemplating Trading in the Stinger for an EV

Enjoy your new ride. Took a ride in a Tesla the other day. Was thoroughly unimpressed. So lifeless. Sure they are quite but that allows you to hear all the road noise and more. How's is the GV60 for that?
The GV60 is extremely quiet. It has double laminated windows and active noise cancelling through the audio system.

There’s a lot of FB politics in this thread. I would have thought the Stinger community was above that…

I have an EV6 GT Line

I joined this forum when I bought my 21 Stinger GT Line. I wanted a 3.3L but went with what was available at the time and it was still an upgrade over the Forte.

I love the EV6 for what it is. Great interior, great speed, electric is ready for me based on my usage and free charging at work…

I’m thinking about selling it because I miss the modification potential the Stinger has. Customizing vehicles is fun and you really aren’t doing much of that with the EV.

To me, the EV6 is just a different type of motor. I don’t waste time worrying about Facebook politics warriors. Some of y’all need to take a break from it.

I post this because I’m currently looking at selling the EV6 and moving back into a Stinger, this time a GT2. I will lose some tech but I’ll gain the fun that the Stinger brings.

While you can't do much about increasing the power in ev, you definitely can do something about it's weight and "increase" the power from that side. I is probably not as involving as throwing bolt on parts at it, but it is fun. I got my v6 awd stinger to weight less than i4 rwd cousin.

Well I just traded my 2019 Stinger for a 2023 Genesis GV60 BEV. Loved the Stinger, but I don't keep cars for more than 4 years and decided electric was the way to go.
There's a Leonardo Dicaprio meme here somewhere...

I see a LOT of Teslas in my area. Surprising considering what they cost. I've heard even the the tires are tesla. Not sure I'd want to own anything too proprietary but what do I know.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Not sure, if that is real, but if it is, than it's another nail in ev car coffin, and another reminder that whatever genius idea the government pushes, it always ends in disaster.

people buyin ev's like we they are going to live for many years into the future.
ill keep my gas powered stinger because ill be dead soon. yolo!

Tesla doesn't make tires. The Model 3 Performance, for reference rides on Pirelli PZ4. Model Ss are equipped with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S.

Etc...

Ah hah. Extract CO2 from the atmosphere, go negative CO2 output: we are already NOT at a CO2 level of the past where the earth was greener than it is now: the Sahara used to be arable land. Why do greenhouses artificially raise the CO2 level three times that of the atmosphere? CO2 is a basis of life. Turning it into a fuel for a BILLION cars will drastically lower our already low CO2 levels: resulting in even more aridity. And the inventor never gave this magical fuel a name (not that I heard). What is it? This video is bogus.

Apparently, Borla is working on a prototype speaker "exhaust" that you bolt on to the Mach-E to give it an exhaust note. It's definitely interesting but at the end of the day it's still fake noise. Saw this on AGG.

This was on the local news recently.

Tesla owner's having their own problems...

This ev scam will die out eventually. But the power, the government grabbed using it, will suppress our rights for a looong time. Mother f.....s invented new "save the world" religion.

I know this is an old post, but any threads on this? I played the weight reduction game years ago on much older cars and just assumed that it would be a marginal effort at best for a new, tech-packed car like the Stinger, but would be curious to see what's feasible.

I would rent one and drive it for a day or week before you do it. See the pros and cons

I wanted to make a dedicated thread about it, but never got a chance to weigh the car. Without it, it would have been just a guessing. Once I weight it, I will make one.

Hey all, have the Mishimoto Baffled oil catch can (the universal one) laying around because I couldn’t install it. Has anyone installed this specific catch can before?

Govt's need to keep their populations in a constant state of fear to maintain control. They also did it with COVID. Yes the virus was real, but to the extent they controlled/told their populations what to do was scary.

They will need another excuse to start those money printers again, soon. I am sure majority will happily eat another bs story up, if you sprinkle it with some crumbs, aka stimulus checks.
