Click on wheel rotation after pad install

From what I recall when they did my tires, the sensor mounts to a standard schrader type valve.

Looks something like this.

Possible that retaining screw is loose? Does your tpms work?
Yup tpms working totally normal.

Isn't there a heat shield located behind the rotors? Did you verify it hasn't been bent and there is no debris between it and the rotor?
Yes I already checked that throughly, i had both front wheels off last night and looked all in behind those heatsheilds, but the fact that the sound followed the tire to the passenger side tells me its strictly something with either the wheel, tire, or TPMS sensor.

Get the tyre removed from the wheel & have the TPMS checked that it is secure & have them look inside the tyre for any loose particles.

I think its time for drastic measures, the sound went away for a day after swaping the front tires but now its back on both front wheels. It has to be related to these new pads. I have a brand new set of EBC blue front pads in my garage that I might have to swap to and see if that fixes this sound, im ready to part out.

I am currently of the belief that - this is not related to your brake pads at all - especially since the clicks followed the wheel when you swapped left and right.

When you swapped the wheels from left to right - did you hear the same 4 clicks per revolution, but from the opposite side of the car?

I THINK it was the 20mm spacers up front. I removed them and so far so good...

You think the spacers were causing the 4 clicks per revolution?

Weird

Yup, I think the nuts holding on the spacers had worked themselves loose a tad and that was what was causing the sound on rotation. The four click thing was totally random, it just happened to be that many in that short video, it has been a random number of clicks and sounds constantly changing all the time.

If it comes back my next move is removing the pads and installing my bluestuff ebc pads.

Sounds is gone lol

The nuts on the front spacers must have backed off just enough to start making noise when the wheel was rotating, when I torqued them down during install I used loctite so I didn’t think they would back off like that.

Lug nuts, really don't need threadlocking compound (even for spacers)

Just as a safety check, are you using the correct lug nuts for the spacers?

60 degree taper most likely - I have seen people install open ended lug nuts backwards - it can happen

Do you recall how much torque you used when installing the spacers to the hub?

The threadlock was precautionary to avoid exactly the problem I had with the torque of the stinger causing things to loosen. I can’t remember the torque specs, it was in the instructions, I also torqued them down in a star pattern like I always do. The nuts that came with the spacers were definitely installed correctly, they were tapered so it was obvious the tapered side faces the hub and sits correctly within the spacer which was also tapered to match and hub centric. I could’ve just re-torqued and moved on but this issue turned me off them so I just took them off. The wider track up front looked cool but I actually found that I didn’t love how it affected turn-in, felt almost like it was tougher to keep a line in corner than with them removed.

Blue or red locktite?

OP, my wife has been driving my car due to high gas prices. Tonight when backing into the garage, she heard something. I needed to go get a cabin air filter and noticed a clicking from rear passenger. Does not do it in reverse. Sounds like something is stuck in the wheel tread. Took wheel off, rotated axle, no noise. Put wheel back on. Test drive, no sound. Go around the block sound comes back, but now from the driver side. And it is loud and it is only once per rotation. I am leaning toward rear diff.

2018 base GT, staggered 19" 's AWD lowered with sways since 2018, 38k miles. I do need new rears. I have an oil change at Kia on Friday and will leave the car to have them diagnose. I'll post the results.
