Center 7" LCD touchscreen to 8" LCD?

The screens aren't the same shape. The gt screen is thick and fugly. The gt1/2 screen is thinner.

I don't mean the actual screen. That part I know, which is why I wanted to swap it out. Im referring to the base the black piece that the screen attaches to.

I know what your talking about. I was the first person to do and figure out the whole process. The base plate trim is the same shape as the screen. They are not the same part # between 7" and 8" because they are not the same size or shape other than width. You need that trim for the 8". Kiapartsnow.com has them on their site.

I believe the WK ones are black and the BR one is brown. Matches the numbering scheme on the airbags with the E logo.

There’s one guy selling -BR airbags saying it’s brown. There’s another selling -BR saying it’s grey. Not sure which one to believe. But I have yet to see a grey interior color in the stinger.

You’d be surprised how much 409 or fantastic will clean plastic up, but it won’t do much for scratches. For that you’ll have to sand and paint. I’d leave it out of the car for a few days so it doesn’t smell like paint.

I was watching your videos and the one with the carbon fiber dash yesterday as I was doing this. You guys make it look easy. You're doing it with 1 hand only. Both myself and the Mrs were working on it and couldn't get it to go in. Super frustrating........

Got to keep the top edge rotated down towards the floor a bit when inserting to get the clips to pass

Will try this out later today, hopefully I can get it to go in. The whole thing was definitely a pain in the ass.

I still have to figure out why the XM isn't working. Maybe I have to get my account switched over or something idk?
