Carlinkit Wireless Upgrade Activator

Would you mind providing the link to the product you purchased? I have been looking at this extensively and there are several of them available on amazon, including the Car2Play.com option. Also, did you have to go into engineering mode on your headunit and install a .APK file for this to work, or was it just plug and play? Thanks in advance.

Here’s the link & it’s just plug & play, literally took 5 mins.

Hmm, it actually looks exactly the same as the CarPlay2Air unit, even the connection screen looks the same. I bet they are both made by the same Chinese company

I would assume so.
I cannot complain with the “brand” I have, after 8 months mine ”failed” I contacted the company through Amazon, they gave me options to resolve the issue & once they established the unit was faulty I sent it back & they sent me a replacement which is working great.

Yeah on the one in my Optima, I contacted their tech support because of lagginess in the response of the screen update when using Waze and they made a FW update available the next day that seemed to fix the problem

Is there a way to make the android auto stuff go away and make maps full screen?View attachment 88085
Looks like your AA doesn't have the Coolwalk update. Surprising, since google released that almost 2yrs ago, IIRC. Get into the Android Auto config section of your phone and search for an update. If that doesn't work, then you need a server side update. You can do that with instructions here: PSA: If you still haven't received Coolwalk (Android Auto) try this. It's on an F-150 forum, but the update is on your phone, not the car side, so the instructions apply generally.

So did that and still nope. Its not the end of the world just kind of annoying.

If Android Auto is updated both on your phone and server side, then the only limitation left is your car's infotainment system. You may need to update to the latest firmware to enable Coolwalk. Check your FW version on your car vs. what is available on Kia's website.

It's definitely worth the upgrade to Coolwalk though, especially on that 2022+ wide screen.

Try touching and moving your map screen to the left so it will become full page.
Don't remember for sure here

So apparently the only option I have is to update my car itself so that's a project for next week
