I've had 177,000,000 wood grain steering wheels that look very similar with whatever coating is over them - and they never really got hot. Maybe a touch warm. And I live in South Florida...

This is real carbon fiber laying over the wheel ossature. It is only for the looks so do not expect weight savings, but it is not a vynil wrap, if that is your question.

Also, the CF part is not heated, as far as I know. (only the leather part is)

It's done by one korean company but price is like $450 just for the labour so you have to add cost of the brand new steering wheel they need to buy and shipping cost and some profit for seller so you can imagine cost to be like $700.

The price I know varies between $400 and $600 depending on the order, it takes 2 to 3 weeks to complete if they don't have one in inventory and after receiving the product you have to send your original steering wheel to the seller OR add the cost of a new one, which is something around $200.

How about doing a vinyl wrap or something similar over the hard plastic to give it a carbon fiber look? I’d assume that would be fairly inexpensive? Not sure about the longevity though
