Canadian Fuel Economy Released

That's very close to what I've been getting for the past 3 weeks. My mixed city and highway driving is currently at 12.5L/100km. Not too bad considering the cold weather and the "occasional fun" I've been enjoying a few times.

We just got updated today on the 3.3L Fuel Economy

Estimated Fuel Economy – 5 cycle testing - L/100km (city / highway) - 12.7 / 9.6

Cheers,
Pinky

Not great and similar to my IS 300 AWD but considering it has 100+ less hp and torque, the the IS is a pig.

In fact, I'm averaging a dismal 12.8L/100km on the IS, about 50/50 city/hwy so decent "bang for the buck" with the Stinger GT AWD.

Man I'm getting like 15.5L/100kms. Id enjoy seeing 12 lol. When I first drove mine a few weeks ago I saw 10.9 but since refueling it has gone up by a fair bit. Not driving it hard..not using remote start. I do only drive a short trip to work..(like 8 kms) The computer estimate might be a bit off because of that maybe?

Are you using regular fuel or premium? Mileage on regular is going to be less, and the short trips won't be helping either.

When I picked mine up from the dealer, it had 12 kilometers on it, and the fuel economy readout was 43L/100km (!) It steadily clicked down once I got it out on the road ... :)

The short commute doesn't help. My wife's RX is between 16-17 L/100km due an even shorter commute and it's rated slightly better tgan the Stinget. Powertrain is most efficient after about a few kms driving so you and my wife will rarely improve unless you drive longer. It should get better with warmer temps.

I use premium, And will continue to so long as I own the car. I'd say its the short trips through the city increasing it. Where I live there are quite a few hills as well. Starting Monday Ill probably opt to take the highway route..Doesnt get me there much faster but its prob a bit easier on the engine lol.

My city mileage is a lot worse, often hitting 17, possibly even 20. This car burns a lot of extra fuel when it's cold. But the city part of my commute is always the beginning when it's cold. By the time it warms up I'm already on the highway. I still end up averaging about 10.5L over 15km, 80% of that being (slightly congested) highway

I really hope it improves during the summer. I didn’t buy the car for the fuel economy but it’s been just awful so far.

My dealer told me that fuel economy also improves after the first 5000 km

9.2L/100km for total 1360km since purchased. Last 170km drive 8.1L/km. That last drive was small amount city rest open road but lotsa hills. I am very pleased. Only use premium 95RON.

I didn't buy the car for the fuel economy, and I do have AWD, but I'd be happy to see something approaching those numbers! I've just barely started breaking it in, and we've yet to emerge from a protracted snowy winter, so I expect things will continue to improve. Of course, everybody knows that snow white pearl gets the best mileage and also makes the most power ... :)

Right on! It's because white reflects ALL light so doesn't absorb photons which add to the weight of the car and affect fuel economy. Science 101.:thumbup::thumbup:

I picked mine up today and went for a drive and am getting close to those numbers
Good stuff, especially with a brand new engine! Congratulations on the new car, I'm really enjoying mine. Update your profile when you have a chance, so we know what you have and where you're from. We're expecting more snow here tomorrow - this winter's been a corker ... :(

So I have 5k on my limited now and I have averaged 10.5/100 that's mostly highway driving.

That's pretty decent - I haven't put enough KMs on to get a proper reading on mileage yet, but that sounds very encouraging. Nice color, by the way ... :)

Thanks! Yes I have been using fuelio To track my mileage from day one. I have a 100km daily work commute as well.

Sounds like you might be working in either Didsbury or South Calgary - if the latter, I don't envy your 'quality time' on Deerfoot Trail each day ... but if I had to do the same, this is the car I'd want to do it in!

Yes sir, I commute south east on stoney trail so less stop and go compared to deerfoot. It's awesome to travel in the stinger with adaptive cruise control.
