Burger Tuning JB4 for Kia Stinger!

Let's see the JB4 logs! :)

I reinstalled mine today after an almost two month hiatus..

New plugs regapped and installed this afternoon..

Holy crap does this car move..

Go fast Mods to date:

Tork intakes
Thermal R&D cat back
HKS 40il
Burger JB4

What a fun car....
How do u like the thermal exhaust? I almost got it but went w Ark, very satisfied. I got the hks 45il, and k&n intakes, putting my jb4 with obd cable and logging this week. Why the hiatus?

Here's mine with jb4 map 6, k&n intakes and Jun BL DPs. If only there was a fix for the AWD delay on launch. This car would be damn close to 11's with basic bolt ons. Looking forward to seeing what these do on methScreenshot_20180707-221446_dragy.webp

I still need to run the canbus cable.. will it still log without it? I did update the firmware to the most current.

I will get it in this week, just ran out of time today and I want to extend the cable so that it runs to the passenger side..

Let's see the JB4 logs! :)

I love the exhaust.. the perfect tone and growl without being overly loud..

And I cracked two plugs and fried two coils packs when I first put on the JB4 and it sat at the dealership for a month...

Wow that is a long time, i had one cracked plug but they kept the car over night only. Now someone just needs to put on wmi and tranny cooler and were in business lol

Thanks everyone for their feedback! I think I'm sold on the JB4. Going to install the HKS 40iL's and order up the box. I'll let you know how it goes!

No you need the OBDII for full logging, and for the JB4 to make full power! :) It's really easy to install though.

Thanks Terry, I am not concerned with the install.. it’s very straightforward.. I just want to lengthen the cable so that I don’t have to cram the JB4 in the driverside area..

Have you tried launching just using the hill-stop feature instead of using the dedicated launch control feature? Some members seem to be finding this mitigates the "bog" off the line...

@Terry@BMS I took my JB4 out a couple of months ago. I was running map 2. When I put it back in will it be back on the default map or does it remember the last setting?

Yes the map and all settings are stored in non-volatile memory.

Congrats to @Terry@BMS and the BMS team for picking up their shop Stinger GT and look forward to seeing what they come up with!!

45 is two heat settings colder than stock, which seems a bit excessive for the moderate gains of the piggyback. Last thing I want to deal with is plug fouling and changing out $150 plugs twice as often than usual lol. On top of that, we are only moving 4 psi of boost even on map two, which isn't a lot honestly, and I wonder if any colder is even necessary.

Would be cool to see some plugs from people who recapped stock after about 10k miles to see how they are fairing.
Yea I agree I just change to the 40 dont think I'll need the 45 because I've read ppl using stock just re-gap. So now I just have to order the jb4

basically the settings are stored in a memory that does not get erased when the unit does not have power.

Learning something new here. What is this Hill stop feature and how do you engage?

true, but as time passes, i plan doing more to the car, and i feel those plugs will come in handy
