Burger Tuning JB4 for Kia Stinger!

I think I’ll just enjoy your piggy and order up your cai in the spring and ‘make due’ lol. I rarely ever launch the car, always in the county

My awd is a pure dog off the line. Aside from wire cutting I don’t think there’s any way to get her up and out of the hole in a hurry, never mind traction issues. I’d love a revision to LC that allows good boost and no nannies on launch!!!

This is a good launch with no wire cut.

Tork tune a few bolt ons and a little extra jb4 boost (gt2 awd)
60 foot was 1.77

Sorry but I can’t flash my ecu, I appreciate your success… But the best I can have is a map One, or Map 2 bandit with Current fuels available. There’s no way adding four or 5 pounds of boost is going to get me anywhere near 4.0 run. My car runs beautifully but it runs 5+ the 60 mph consistently

Ive read a number of post by Canadian awd owners running high fours on maps 1 or 2...and I’ll be pleased with that. This is by far the slowest car I’ve owned but it’s a pretty great vehicle to drive

I understand you can't flash but another tork tune did a custom 16 PSI (shows 14 PSI on his jb4) for 91 octane and was able to hit a 3.99 on low boost. Its more about getting a better launch and faster shifts than tons of boost. The 3.5 does take a bit of boost 18 PSI on the jb4 log.

Agreed, but my warranty is priority at this point knowing the cost of repairing on my dime. I spent tens of thousands of dollars on 6.0 ls2’s and 5.0’s, The faster you go the better the chance something will break… And this car will break the bank with something significant goes poof

What are the other cars you've owned? "By far"? All your other cars had 600+ hp? Or did you get the 2.0T?

05,08,13 c6’s with Bolton’s.. all much faster and great fun but not suited to my lifestyle any longer. A dozen 5.0s from various years, all at least 12 second cars after modded, 6 litre bikes and a big bore m109.
I love my Stinger, but it’s a 370 hp 4200 lb car so I have very real expectations. It’s flat off the line, and is a little soft after 50 mph in terms of hard-core acceleration. But, the jb4, throttle enhancer will make it great fun.

unless you were FI on those cars a stinger with a tune and intake is probably faster... definitely not saying its more fun though I loved my 5.0

A couple quick logs on map 5 with new firmware. Excited to play with boost by gear because im absolutely smoking the tires in first and second

My c6’s made over 400 to the wheels and were in the 3200lb range, there is no comparison to my stock or mildly modified stinger. If we’re talking more heavily modified stingers then yes brilliant, but I’m comparing MY stinger to MY previously owned cars, sorry if I was unclear about that

Yeah but very lightly nodded stingers are at and under 12

Tune intake and e85 and you’re there... I’m just going by the 12 second bench mark you stated

I'm..wondering what's up with your car. Stock this car can and in most cases will get to 60 in under 5 seconds, people have gotten mid-4s to 60 off the lot. Few people can crack 12's stock too and any tuned or decently modded Stinger is at the least a high to mid 12 second car. And a tuned Stinger will at the least give any of those cars a very good run if not start to pull.

Well all I can say is stop on a road, time it (stock) and see what you get. As stated several cars tested and on this forum have not been able to attain sub 5 second pulse. Again, I can’t speak for the majority, only for others like myself that don’t get to sixty as quick at the rest. Car runs fantastic, plugs are gorgeous....it all has to do with the awd/lc on my car...she’s a dog off the line and others have said the same. My c6’s were WAY different to drive, if you’ve drive. Ls2/3 corvettes then you know there is nothing more fun, but the stinger is damn fun as well.

I’ve managed multiple 4.0xx runs. Map 5 with e30. Definitely fun! It’s probably faster than my 2016 mustang but the mustang was more fun to drive

My 14 mustang was great fun, my 2019 stinger is great fun, my 13 c6 m6 with kooks long tubes, lsx manifold, and corsa sports with custom diablo tune was just stupid fun...made me feel like a 16 year old again every time it came out. The jb4 will get me close to the times of my corvettes yes, but it’s not the same experience in any way. But the stinger is the rigt car for me at this point in my life.

So I found out if I try to have the JB4 app open up while it's plugged in with USB the app crashes when the automatic logging triggers. It clears up after I unplug from the USB. I was trying to get some logs today when I noticed that.

I'm finding it difficult now to keep the tires from spinning on my rwd on map 2. If I try a different map where i can control the boost and lower it in first gear am I still going to have the ecu protections that I get in map 1 and 2

Why not use boost by gear?
