LOL

The full details have yet to be released. Once Terry releases them on his website there will be more details.

The brace is a support for the rear diff and its suppose to improve traction turning and straight line.

So essentially it improves the handling of the car.

Seems like it will stiffen up the differential so it does not try and rotate as power is applied at launch.
The big question is how much noise and vibration this will transmit from the driveline into the chassis as it looks like it is a solid mount.

Long story short it provides more stability to the diff. Any upgrades you can make to the rigidity to suspension components will help traction.

@Terry@BMS id like to order today if available to be to me by Friday to track test this. I’ll be out at our local test and tune event that night.

Why would you need a new harness? Unless the pin is damaged, looks like you just need to properly install it. Zooming in on the pic it looks like it’s intact, seems like you just need to push it until it’s seated properly (you’ll hear a click).

If that’s the case, I would find a new “technician” friend to do installs.

And what if it didn't just push in? We No tried. click. Just slides in and out very easily?

There is normally a locking tang on the pin that secures it in the connector shell (the 'click'). If that is damaged or broken off you need a new harness (or have the pin replaced). Considering the shipping/import logistics to Canada, I would expect the former.

For now yes, we don't have an AWD car handy to test fit. :)

Bummer!

When will the bracket be released for the 1 gallon? Any pics of the bracket installed.

Ok cool.

Terry when I go to the BMS website I don't see the brace under the Kia tab. I can only see the brace when I click on the link you provided.

Just wanted to let you know.

Did you actually pull the adapter off and look to see if it was seating properly once it was pushed in? You could literally be millimeters off and it not click. You want to make sure that the prong is the same length as the others before assuming you need a new part. If you truly can push it in and out, and need a new one, you should be able to push it all the way past the point of the other prongs on the harness.

Gorilla Glue. Just to carry you over until you get a replacement. Love that stuff. I'm an abuser. "Fixed" a puncture on my old FZ-1 long enough to get me to the shop for a replacement tire. No warranties expressed or implied, play at your own risk, YMMV.

Had my technician friend of mine install my jb4 tonight. He just installed flawlessly in another friend of ours stinger 3 days ago.

My car would not start. Couldn't update firmware of even connect.

Upon further inspection we found one of the wires leading to the main harness come out. We pushed it in and the car started and idled fine.

Pull it out. Car dies.

Hopefully it doesn't take too long to get a new harness. And hopefully the jb4 didn't get shorted or something.

If it doesn't clip in then harness is defective. Sure you're pushing it all the way in to click in? Just email us we can swap the harness for you if needed. But another quick fix would be a drop of crazy glue.
