Burger Tuning JB4 for Kia Stinger!

Well, finally purchased the JB4. Looking around to get the Denzos put in. Local KIA wants $360.28....do you all agree that's the ballpark I'll be in going anywhere?

$360 to do what? Just install the spark plugs? If it is Just to install the plugs you shouldn’t be paying more than $100-$130.

I'd just do it yourself, it's not really that hard. Might take 2-3hrs the first time. 1hr the second time or less.

Holy smokes.. "stealership" pricing.

I don't know where "treasure coast" is in Florida, but there's a dealer somewhere in Florida that is happy to do modification work, they have participated here. I'm sure you could do better..

Make sure they check the gap - whoever does it.

Going to have to take their word on it...not sure how I'll be able to verify at time of install.
Just saying that whatever the manufacturer of the spark plug says they're gapped at, it needs to be double-checked and possibly adjusted prior to install.

Do them yourself man. I tool the manifold off and it took me a couple hours, but if you watch some YT videos you can do them with swivels pretty easily.

Verify the gap and adjust before bringing them to get installed.

And if you must have someone install them for you I would suggest staying away from dealerships.

Is there any other way to change maps without the mobile kit + app? I feel like I shouldn't be forced to be on Map 1 without having to pay the extra $170.

Yes get the USB connect, you will have to hook it up to a tablet or laptop everytime though.

That would be nice to have a physical button on the box to change maps, at least as a ~$30 option

Yea, kinda feel let down that I paid $479 to only have access to one map.

Can you send me a link for the USB Connect?

It's on their website on the same page as the JB4. Scroll to the bottom and you'll see a drop-down box. Select the "BMS Data cable" option ($35).

You don't have to take anything off besides the engine cover when changing spark plugs. It shouldn't cost more than $100 if they're charging $100/hour. If you've done them a few times then half hour. You just need an extension, one universal and a spark plug socket with slight swivel. That is it. Unscrew the coil pack bolts, take the plugs out. Easy.

Is it a good idea to get an ECU tune on top of the jb4 + WMI? what gains can be expected? The tune alone makes about 80whp.
